but you can only do so with a UK-based credit card or by visiting a Three store or calling them, which you can't do outside the UK.I feel like the description of the SIM doesn't adequately highlight that while minutes are included, those minutes are ONLY good in the UK despite arriving in each new country and getting a rate update message from Three saying how much per minute calling is
Once activated, the account shows zero data and zero minutes available, with the only option being to purchase data and minutes with a credit card

Just came back from my vacation and this SIM card worked well in Amsterdam and in Belgium.
I wasted over an hour of my life talking to customer service trying to make this work - not only are they unhelpful, they're kind of creepy (overly complimentary and weird)
The SIM worked great in England and Ireland for three weeks of travel
calling worked fine in London, but I could not use the calling feature in Paris/Barcelona
I found the SIM worked the best in the UK, fairly well in Ireland, and about as well or better in Belgium and Holland with 3G data (only place it said 4G was in the UK).However, my phone frequently lost services for a few minutes at a time, only to have coverage restored a few minutes later.
It was not as fast as cell data in the U.S., but it allowed her to use Facebook messenger to keep in touch with us the whole trip and she could use the phone for an emergency.
Once APN was configured, I had enough data for a 3 week trip.
If that didn't succeed, if I restarted the phone, data would work again.
The data sim card worked for most of the countries I visited ( Netherland, Germany, France etc)
For this verizon roaming phone, the phone almost always reported "4G" and "LTE" with fast data speeds.
(If your phone is not unlocked, it's not difficult to do, but to use this card, your phone must be unlocked before you leave the US.
My advice is to make sure that you download any apps you think you may want BEFORE using the SIM card if you think that phone number verification might be required.
I activated the phone during a layover in London and everything worked great

My husband insisted we could just use wifi the entire trip, so he spent a good amount of time stealing my phone to look up restaurant reviews and get locations when we were out and about.
Service was spotty in some areas but the biggest issue I had was even in bigger city's like Frankfurt, Berlin, Stuttgart etc

I did find service to be spotty at times, but I think this is more a function of the carriers and the terrain.
