Reviews around transfer (4.73 of 5)

  • n’t be an issue
  • but it's not fast as they say
  • Works great for my needs, much faster transfer rates than USB 2.0 SD card reader.
  • Super fast transfer from my SD cards over to my desktop.
  • USB 3.0 has very fast transfer speeds, but it will also depend on the memory card you use and the USB port you plug this into

Reviews around speed (4.32 of 5)

  • Incredibly fast transfer speeds compared to my 2.0 sd card reader
  • Great speeds/maximizes speed from SD card to your usb 3.0 port
  • Good transfer speeds, but that depends on what sd card you use as well.
  • USB 3.0 has very fast transfer speeds, but it will also depend on the memory card you use and the USB port you plug this into

Reviews around device (4.22 of 5)

  • It would not always recognize the usb device and other half of the time it would disable my other usb devices
  • I needed something to transfer data from my MicroSD/SD cards to my PC and this little device does the trick
  • This device blew out my USB 3.0 Headers on my motherboard when I plugged it in while the computer was on
  • I think either the device I received is defective or the chipset used is not compatible with windows 10.I Returned the same to Amazon!
  • Turns out it had some problem, Windows stopped the driver and now the device is unusable.

Reviews around reader (4.08 of 5)

  • This 3.0 reader only allows you to insert a SD and a MicroSD card, but works very well!
  • It is actually a little scary, I'm afraid I am going to insert it upside down on accident and break both the card and the reader.
  • I love this USB reader because it quickly reads my card
  • My desktop was lacking an SD card reader and so I purchased this product
  • If you have a messy table and little cheap plastic containers with drawers, you'll lose this card reader.

Reviews around work (4.03 of 5)

  • I don't have reason to need a card reader all that often, but it does come up, and this one works excellent
  • Poor quality worked when I received and two weeks later tried reading a SD card and stop working
  • I used this USB 3.0 card reader and another non-brand one fairly often and both were working well for a while.
  • This works great - the old one (it was some cheap no name brand) quit working - no
  • so she was bummed out when her SD card slot in her laptop stopped working after I upgraded her laptop to Windows 10

Reviews around usb (4.03 of 5)

  • Works as expected, fast USB 3 speeds for upload/download.
  • This USB 3.0 SD card reader works great on all my computers
  • USB 3.0 is fast enough that it wouldn't be the bottleneck
  • (I need the Lexar reader for CompactFlash camera cards.)It's tiny, so is easy to store and transport, and doesn't need the typical bulky, stiff USB 3.0 cable of other readers.
  • A big step-up form my old USB 2.0 version...until I lost it.

Reviews around thing (3.97 of 5)

  • One thing is that when they are brand new sometimes the micro SD slot can be a little tight the first two or three times it is used, but after that everything works smoothly
  • only thing i would complain about is that it is hard to access on a desktop usb hub without picking the whole thing up to get at it.
  • I have one of each, I haven't noticed a difference in speed, but the great thing is that they have the slots on opposite sides, and the Sabrent ignores the write-protection notch on SD cards while this one (Transcend) does not
  • the worst thing is that it no longer works with ANY card, either slot
  • The only thing I don't like about this item isn't even a fault in the product itself: the USB ports on the front of my PC are horizontal, so when I plug it in and the card sticks out horizontally, it doesn't fit very well

Reviews around star (3.67 of 5)

  • At this point people really shouldn’t be buying USB 2.0 products with the coming proliferation of USB C and of course just the improvement to USB 3.0.The reader has a spot for standard SD cards as well as
  • SD card be read at the same time, it's not important enough for me to knock off a star
  • I knocked off a star because the plastic housing feels very thin and cheap, as if it will break under the considerable force required to pull off the cap, which I now leave off because it's so difficult to remove without crushing the housing.
  • Works as it should with SD & microSD cards, price is great.
  • However, I ding it one star because it does not work with my Samsung S5, though I am not 100% sure if I should blame the S5 or this device for that problem.

Reviews around card (3.59 of 5)

  • Does what it does and doesn't corrupt my cards like my last SD Card reader
  • Had a minor meltdown when my old cell's SD card randomly corrupted
  • If you are looking for a great card reader, look no further
  • Although I'd kind of like this to enclose the SD card, this is likely better for cooling, and the cards haven't fallen apart out easily, so no big complaints.
  • So far so good, this is a very fast and handy card reader

Reviews around cable (3.48 of 5)

  • Works for putting pictures onto computer, my cable wasn't connecting from
  • At this point people really shouldn’t be buying USB 2.0 products with the coming proliferation of USB C and of course just the improvement to USB 3.0.The reader has a spot for standard SD cards as well as
  • I ordered this USB card reader when I could no longer use a cord for my Nikon DSLR camera due to damage to the USB cable plug-in rendered using a cable impossible
  • so I could easily transfer photos from my camera to my laptop without having to lug out a cable and further drain my camera batteries.
