It has a really clear low end even when the gain is turned way up.

Incredible bottom end, mids were gently pronounced and delicious and the treble was smooth, harshness was removed and there was no need to even come close to 10 on the three band

Although I'm not on a quest for clean headroom, the Tungsol can deliver that in a master volume context.

I expected to hear a subtle difference and was quite pleased at how much better the amp sounds

Sonically similar to the factory Mesa brand tubes without as much noise, not quite as creamy as the Groove Tubes R series, which can be a good thing if you need to clean up the amp, a bad thing if you want more mush

The Sovteks were all gain and great if you need to slam a signal into clean amp.
