I've only had one day with them but they sound crisp on the clean channels and gritty on the distortion settings
I recommend with any solid state amp as it cost $65 and turns it into a mean tube screaming amp with a killer sound.
But for the pregain on the lead channel, a little change seems to make a huge difference
Tried a t-12AX7-S-JJ in V1 hmmm better..but the clean channel was blaa not a clean sound yet

The quality is consistant, noise is low, gain is moderately high and they work well in combo amps
These sound great and have really good gain but not microphonic

Hot rod deluxe 97 still had the factory fender marked tubes.
used to replace 3 preamp tubes(red label Fenders(groove tubes?) on Fender Hot Rod Deville when thought 2nd tube was bad

I play mostly lead blues and was looking for something to provide classic blues overdrive sound
Its a good sound if you are a Lead guitarist it flushes out the high strings

If you already have a bright amp (blackface Fender, VOX)these are not recommended, they bring out the higher frequencies and tend to sound a bit harsh in these types of amps
Brought a dead practice amp back to life.
I don't know; amps and tubes are often a shot in the dark, but these tubes work for my amp
For brighter amps I recommend the Tung-Sol reissue 12AX7, these have a warm, round, and full tone, perfect for an overly bright amp
Replacing this tube in a noisy amp did not solve the problem.
