My biggest regret is that I rewarded HTC with my business for their poor quality and shady support staff.
Sorry HTC, I've been a long supporter but this wimpy battery pack doesn't make the cut
Unsurprisingly though, they have been dragging their feet on the return process and it's looking more like I will be stuck with this useless hardware and be out the hundreds of dollars I dropped back when I trusted in HTC enough to be an early adapter to this product
I guess I was one of the foolish few who supported HTC and paid a ridiculous $800+ to buy the pro upgrade
If the TPCast wasn’t as cumbersome to use as it is and supported the microphone, I would just put it back in place and forget HTC wireless despite what I’ve already spent trying to get the HTC adapter to work for me
With the cord cut it works perfectly, no noticeable latency, no cord that limits my movement, the battery weighs much less than expected, and if anything the extra antenna helps balance the Vive.
And the cord is plenty long enough, which was a concern that I had going in
The first 10 minutes, I was still playing like the cord was behind my feet; but after a while, it got to the point where I was spinning around with no worries

Everything works perfectly, I can't perceive any additional latency

Easy to set up, no latency, no noticeable degradation of performance, and battery life is fine for the amount that I use the Vive
I had my doubts that the latency would make me motion sick, as I am VERY sensitive to such things (car rides get me nauseous, and any VR game with walking controls rather than teleport would make me dizzy

Do yourself a favor and buy the best motherboard anytime you build a system
Apparently if you have the right motherboard with the right settings you MAY get this to work for more than 10 minutes but most people with AMD Ryzen processors are getting DMC_WATCHDOG_ERROR blue screens when trying to play

These games ran 100% perfectly fine on a wired connection, but many of a time I've broken TV's Wii mote style because of Jean Claude Van Damming poor cable management.
You need a CPU with the ability to run at least 3.9+ Ghz* 16GB of RAM if you want to play games like Arizona Sunshine, Google Earth
Running games with complete freedom of movement is phenomenal.
It handles the immersion performance better by frame dropping differently than Win 7, which allowed the game to flow less choppy when the CPU is under load

I love my wireless VR but if after 5 charges the pack dies then it's not worth it

and i'm sure the wireless is awesome, but i'm not a fan of their customer service.
