Oddly when I downloaded the included software and drivers my audio drivers became corrupted and sound from my HDMI connection no longer worked
very happy with this very easy to installed just make sure your on the internet to have windows update installed the driver for windows 10 and then you can used this after very happy works great
Something in the hardware connection broke inside my laptop and the wireless no longer worked.
The adapter works great out of the box with both Windows and Mac PCs
Used it to bring a Windows Vista PC online - worked great!
I haven't tested this during maximum transfer rates if that would make a difference but this thing gets HOT as Hell while just streaming from the internet
This unit has full bars and works great for my needs as I don't have a state of the art wireless router, so it is the best thing on the market for people with older routers
and I'm very satisfied, the bad thing is that it is not available at the moment, the good thing is that i got the last one
This thing works very well and the connection seems strong, it's just a shame the company doesn't offer updated drivers
One thing I will note if you want to keep your speeds fast un-plug each day for 10-15 seconds and plug back in to usb, I'm noticing slow down if you don't
From some inexplicable reason, TP-Link "updated" this adapter with an entirely different chipset, while still under the guise of the same product name and number
I recommend the product to anyone with the same problem as me
Excellent product, they worked great, were good quality and I highly recommend them.

This product works very well for what it was designed for
An amazing WiFi antenna, just works on Linux and very easy driver install on Windows
You will have to look somewhere other than TP-Link for a compatible driver as the only drivers I found on the mfg's website were too recent to work with
Does not have proper linux driver available for current ubuntu.
The driver from the company's website fails to compile.
The Windows 10 driver seems to crash specifically with EAP-TLS + Client Cert.
It comes with a small CD which is supposed to install the drivers and utility program onto your computer, however my PC said that the files were not found once I selected the model number
To download the driver you can either go to the website (type in your model number into google and type driver download) or use the set up CD.
63M on verizon 50M FIOS, adapter does not limit speed in anyway
Docking 1 start for changing the chipset without updating the model number, leaving some users unable to utilize the device
Anyway, I am not satisfied with software support to this product, which makes a 300M (very decent capacity in my opinion) WiFi adapter pretty outdated.
Unfortunately, the V of this product does not work with Kali linux.
When putting PCLinuxOS on an extra hard drive that I had, I couldn't get Linux to see the USB wireless adapter that I
like a breeze on my centos server, no drive needed.
Out of frustration and keyboard breaking RAAAAGE, I decided to say, "f--- it", and went ahead and installed a full copy of Kali onto a 20GB partition I made in my hard drive
(b) Kali hard drive install (c) Kali Nethunter 3.0 on a rooted tablet
I have tried every alternative before resorting to attempting to install Kali again on my hard disk
Aside from silly disk and complicated drivers this product works just as expected and has very much so increased my network speeds on my computer as an upgrade from my old internal card from
You will not be able to create a "Kali Persistent Live USB" WITHOUT a working Linux distro installed on your hard disk, and third party solutions vary in mileage and tech support (and even English apparently)
the topic of the silly disk, instead of a disk why not manufacture tiny 25MB flash drives for things like this instead, they provide more function than a disk and are much simpler and convenient for buyers.
First off, a message to TP-LINK, Not many people use disk drives anymore so sending this with a disk was a little rough as I had to tether my phone to my computer to get the drivers for
I don't understand why some people are having no trouble with this unit and others are, the fact that TP Link is hosting a faulty driver on their support page is also a big negative as well as how the first unit stopped functioning on me but now that I finally do have it working I am satisfied with the hardware side of it
After I ordered this, I noticed people were saying it doesn't work with Windows 10 and I tried to cancel the
I wonder if people having issues don't have the right router.
Research now shows that many other people had similar problems with this unit on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.Don't buy it
I recommend just dumping that VBox workaround that people are frustrating themselves over, and as long as they have experience, or friends, in installing Linux, just go ahead and get your machine ready for a legitimate install (even the Kali GUI installer is not particularly informative and leaves out a ton of important details, make sure you know how to do your byte-to-gigabyte math and which "sda" "sdb" or partition properly represents where you WANT to install)

(somehow I missed all the bad ones). We installed twice according to the instructions, and it slowed the speed down to 20% of what I was getting without the antenna
The download speeds are terrible, less than 1mb/s
