In fact, the battery in the E5 has about 30% more capacity than this A5 laptop, so the E5 will run about 2 hours longer (in real world usage) than this A5.The other remarks about DDR4 ram vs lpDDR3 and the CD/DVD power consumptions are also misleading since they hardly make any difference (less than 5 minutes difference in 5 hours of use).And BTW, the A5 doesn't have an IPS screen and the E5 does (just about everyone prefers IPS screens).

The quality of this laptop blew me away when compared to the $600 price tag

It has the space to install an HDD drive (my son took one from one of our old laptops, and now has 200Gb more hard drive space for backup), and the graphics card, RAM, solid-state drive, etc. are solid and good quality
