The compact design is unobtrusive; it is only around 2 1/16" tall (excluding clamp) and can mount to either the front or back of the headstock.
This tuner has an intuitive interface, compact design, and handy clip
When I'm tuning the A string, the display will register as "E," but the blue bars and arrows work fine.
In particular I owned a Snark that was a very sleek design, but had a short two year lifespan.
You begin tightening the string, and as soon as you reach pitch, wham, the "D" now has a blue bar above it as well, and a blue arrow appears on either side of it (see the Amazon photo). The unit is very simple, having just an on-off button and a button on either side of it to calibrate the pitch above or below A 440.
Using the A string as an example, if it is in tune, there will be a line above and below the A. If it is sharp, there will be a line above the A. If it is flat, there will be a line below the A. Turn the appropriate tuning peg until you get the string perfectly tuned and then move to the next string and repeat
The tuning is fast and accurate, and the full-color display can be swiveled in any direction to allow for easy reading from a number of angles.

It doesn't give you a readout of the actual cents, flat or sharp, as more expensive tunes do, but does give you an easy to read to up/down arrow that makes dialing in your tuning pretty straight forward
My niece says tuning is super easy, and learning to play on a guitar that's in tune makes practicing enjoyable
Works much like the famous Korg tuners, in that you clip it on the headstock of the guitar, sound each string, and raise or lower the pitch until you have the correct note (indicated by a letter E, A, D, G, B, E
It would be nice if it had a beep when you were on the right note for people who can tune by ear but just want the precision at the end, but that missing feature wasn't enough to take a star off.
only 'tunes' a single note - if it actually worked that is.
Power on in 2 seconds, bright colorful display and the visual note being displayed and how "on" the string is (or sharp or flat) is very intuitive.
Spare yourself the embarrassment of sour notes and the expense of high-priced tuners with this D’Addario Eclipse Headstock Tuner
Given his experience with the tuner, I'd say this is definitely a useful product for guitar players (of all levels).
Broken Product!! is more expensive to send it back than to buy a new one.

After my $50 Polytune clip got chewed up by my dog, I decided I was done with expensive clip-on tuners.
I personally prefer the clip on tuners for acoustic and classical guitar performances both live and in the studio, as opposed to using a pedal tuner if I play live in an electrified rock scenario
The clip is padded to prevent marring the guitar's finish and the display can be swiveled to get just the right angle
The clip is strong enough to hold on, but easy to open and close when I need to remove the tuner.
I have had some cheaper clip ons and this one is much better
