Reviews around product (5.00 of 5)

  • This product is easy to use with complete instructions provided.
  • With that kind of customer support for an already great product, I won't buy any other brand of tuner in the future.
  • Could have a better instruction booklet addressing what buttons and settings do but an excellent product

Reviews around color (5.00 of 5)

  • Intellitouch PT-10 matchbook size tuners are excellent (my second choice of the clip-on tuners, but the Snark has a BEAUTIFUL COLOR display, so it wins
  • Also the bright blue color makes it easy to find when it's not clipped onto one of the guitars.
  • Wish it came in purple but the blue is a vibrant color.

Reviews around item (5.00 of 5)

  • I would recommend this item for tuning any stringed instrument.
  • this item is easy to operate and makes tuning the guitar fun.
  • This item is great, and you can expect it to do everything that it claims to do, but I just have one thing to say - I've seen this item on sale at music stores like Guitar Center for more than TWICE the price that it's on sale for on Amazon (currently eleven dollars), which I don't know how they get away with, but if you're thinking about buying one of these wonderful little tools, do it here, because other dealers do the same thing.

Reviews around tune (4.66 of 5)

  • And the tuning is dead on.
  • The tuning is not fine enough: it will show you as being in tune when you are really not, and it won't provide any info to make your tuning more precise
  • The color changes when tuning make it easier to use than tuners that only have a monochromatic background or a pitch indicator.
  • Considering many artists tune by ear, the tuning this provides is sufficient enough for most.
  • With all of the features, capo tune, visual metronome, acoustic as well as vibration tuning, plus calibration

Reviews around thing (4.21 of 5)

  • Cheap thing anyway thankfully
  • Good thing we have it, because the 9 volt battery for the tuner built into my Martin LXM died and I keep forgetting to buy more (should probably order some on Amazon
  • I'd buy another one in an instant, which is probably the best thing I can say about it.
  • IF you are a beginner or an expert guitar player, this little thing is the bomb for tuning
  • These things look pretty cute, and caught on very quickly a few years ago, but they are the worst clip-on

Reviews around gadget (4.16 of 5)

  • I read different comments saying that it is easily breakable, so it kinda worried me as to how cheaply it was made
  • Instead of asking me to pluck out the notes to tune her guitar, she now could test it with this handy little gadget

Reviews around value (4.16 of 5)

  • Not knowing the string names myself had to look online to find out what each string should read, but tuner is easy, easy to use and a great value!
  • I read different comments saying that it is easily breakable, so it kinda worried me as to how cheaply it was made
  • is the best value for the moneyWould Recommend for all pickers

Reviews around display (4.10 of 5)

  • I read different comments saying that it is easily breakable, so it kinda worried me as to how cheaply it was made
  • Clip it on the end of your guitar, and its colorful little display tells you what note you're playing
  • Even half steps would be no problem as the Snark displays the note you are nearest to, then as you tighten (or loosen) the string, the display shows the note sharpening (or flatting) until it jumps to the next note.
  • The display is bright and crisp and the tuning seems fairly accurate with no jumpy needle or inaccurate readings.
  • Intellitouch PT-10 matchbook size tuners are excellent (my second choice of the clip-on tuners, but the Snark has a BEAUTIFUL COLOR display, so it wins

  • I read different comments saying that it is easily breakable, so it kinda worried me as to how cheaply it was made
  • The Snark SN1 display is very easy to read and understand.
  • I find the Snark SN1 tuner the easiest and fastest ,most accurate
  • I honestly wish more products (not just guitar gear) were as great as the Snark is.
  • The Snark worked great and was easy enough for my 10yr old son to use it

  • Great quality for the price - simple to use, easy to read the screen, works perfectly right out of the box and got my guitar tuned up in under a minute.

Reviews around clip (3.86 of 5)

  • Worst of all, the little ball-joint swivel is held on only by 3 weak little plastic clip stubs that tend to break
  • I like the clip-on feature, it's always right at my finger-tips.
  • Compared to the Yamaha and Boss electronic tuners I've had, as well as a Korg clip on tuner, this little 10 dollar wonder is awesome.
  • The clip on tuners are super in situations where there's extraneous noise and you can't hear very well for tuning up.
  • I particularly love the color LED display and clip-on clamp, which is handy for making quick tuning adjustments

Reviews around guitar (3.53 of 5)

  • You can tune your guitar without having to plug in or worry about background noise like the drummer warming up
  • Just a great little guitar tuner which keeps on tuning and tuning.
  • Probably the most convenient guitar tuner I've ever owned.
  • I read different comments saying that it is easily breakable, so it kinda worried me as to how cheaply it was made
  • I've had the SN-2 and SN-8 models, and I think this one is my favorite for tuning my electric guitars.

Reviews around background noise (1.00 of 5)

  • Great way to tune because you can do it even if there is a lot of background noise.
  • It is also not microphone based, so background noise does not affect it like the my son's other tuner.
  • This makes tuning in outside in a windy area with background noise possible.
  • The tuner is however, sensitive to interference from background noise, making tuning in noisy rooms more difficult than most other clip-ons
  • You can tune your guitar without having to plug in or worry about background noise like the drummer warming up

Reviews around environment (1.00 of 5)

  • In quiet locations, such as at home, or in pawn shops, I prefer the free iPhone 5S Panotuner iPhone app, which is about as good as it gets for an acoustic tuner....but, as with all microphone-based tuners, it is useless in a noisy environment.
  • You can tune your guitar in a noisy environment because it attached to the head of the fretboard and just does a great job of tuning making it super easy to always be in tune, works on both acoustic and electric and has a soft silk like feeling to it's coated exterior with nice soft rubber grips to protect the surface you're attaching to
  • When you are playing in a noisy environment it can be tough to hear whether you've got the guitar tuned "just right"
  • With a clip-on Snark tuner, I can tune my 12-string guitar up quickly, even in a noisy environment
