Reviews around work (5.00 of 5)

  • I have used this on pianos also, but I find a regular mic works a little easier on a piano.
  • This contact mic works well for tuning a concert harp because it has great range of notes it picks up.
  • I also have an M-Audio Firewire Solo interface and connecting the mic to its guitar input to record with Logic Pro software worked perfectly well
  • Play in a small dulcimer group and this works great to clip on my dulcimer and plug into my Pignose amp.
  • This tuner works well with its built-in microphone, but seems to work even better (quicker) when I use it with this clip-on microphone

Reviews around microphone (5.00 of 5)

  • A sensitive microphone and works efficiently and is compatible with the device, but I thought it more sensitive through ancient Comments
  • This microphone for tuners works very well, especially on stringed instruments.
  • I would recommend using the Sony Electret flat microphone.

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • When it works, it seems to do a good job, but I have a hard time getting it to pick up sound at times.
  • While I cannot comment on this microphone's use in a music setting, I can say that it does a great job picking up vibrational signals that insects use to communicate along a plant stem

Reviews around good (5.00 of 5)

  • It works as well as most/all of the clip-on tuners you see on various guitars and ukuleles nowadays, but if you have one of the chromatic tuners that don't directly clip on (like the Intelli IMT series), then this will make it work 100x better (okay, slightly exaggerated) because the ambient noise is not picked up by the tuner's microphone
  • I have also found that tuning from the bridge gives the most accurate tuning, although, attaching to the sound hole or neck head seems to work pretty darned good as well

  • I am so glad to have found this product here at the best price possible.
  • It really is a great product, especially for such a cheap price.
  • I ordered the Korg tuner pick up on 1-3-07 and received it on 1-8-07, can not believe the prompt delivery, seems to be a great deal, very good pricing.

Reviews around mic (4.37 of 5)

  • You are also probably frustrated because your electronic tuner's mic picks up ambient noise and makes it difficult to tune
  • In fact, I have stopped using it because the internal mic seems to work fine for my purposes (piano tuning).
  • I use this on a grand piano as a remote mic for a Korg chromatic tuner and it works well.

Reviews around tune (4.26 of 5)

  • It very useful for tuning around other people playing or warming up to be sure you are tuning your instrument, especially for beginners
  • Without it, my life would not be worth living: tuning those top notes with no pickup is a misery
  • I have also found that tuning from the bridge gives the most accurate tuning, although, attaching to the sound hole or neck head seems to work pretty darned good as well
  • The clip fits nicely onto my bridge, and I find that the tuning is more accurate than trying to tune without this mic clip.
  • Now while everyone else is tuning up I can enjoy the accuracy of my Korg without other instruments affecting my tuning.

Reviews around clip (3.86 of 5)

  • I have only used this clip on contact tuner mic a few times, but so far it works great.
  • The clip is padded so it doesn't scratch the silver finish on my horn
  • The clip attached easily to my bell (brass instrument) and isolates the tuner's reading to just my notes
  • The clip worked well picking up the vibrations of an electric guitar
  • The clip is very firm but also well padded so will not damage a fine instrument.

Reviews around tuner (3.75 of 5)

  • It picks up my instrument on the tuner instead of surrounding noise.
  • If you have a relatively decent tuner but it takes too long to tune due to ambient noise, this device works and will ease 90% of the difficulty
  • I wanted a mike that I could put in direct contact with my instrument, so that I could tune in an otherwise noisy environment without having stray sounds confuse the tuner.
  • This tuner works well with its built-in microphone, but seems to work even better (quicker) when I use it with this clip-on microphone

Reviews around background noise (1.00 of 5)

  • Cuts out the background noise and allows tuning in noisy enviornments.
  • If there is one thing that is HIGHLY inconvenient with just a traditional electronic tuner, it's that they pick up any type of background noise and you have to be a certain distance from the tuner's pickup if you want to get a decent idea on where your tunings at
  • You have accurate tuning for your own instrument without having to worry about picking up any background noise
  • It purpose is to allow you to tune your instrument without background noise from other brass instruments from interfering with your instrument
  • Now I can tune my instrument anywhere without picking up background noise.

  • This is great for those noisy environments where there is a lot of things that can interfere with the tuner
  • I bought this to see if it helped in noisy environments without needing a breakout box or other DI box with effects/tuner output.
  • Works fine in a noisy environment, picking up only my cello and not the concert

Reviews around room (1.00 of 5)

  • When you play with a ton of other people and you need to tune in a noisy room, this is great
  • It really helped in that it does not pick up extraneous room sounds.
  • Because it did not pick up extraneous room noises, it made tuning my violin for the lesson so much faster and easier.
  • Just clip it onto your headstock, allows you to tune up even in a noisy room.
