In each case, the first suggested code worked correctly (however I didn't "think" it was working as I will explain).The difficult part - there are a number of "secret codes" you may need to look up in order to get everything working as expected
some difficulty programming but all worked out, works as expected and came on time...
Replacement for one that wore out, works as expected on RF.
Either way, after making the switch to RF mode it works as expected.

2-pack and the 2 of them together cost less through Amazon than 1 of them would have cost at Best Buy or through Directv, my provider
It was also 5 times cheaper than the same remote at Best Buy
I was skeptical that it really had the RF capability because it's so cheap (these are $35 at Best Buy
The price through Amazon beats the AT&T/Directv price by half and so makes this a good buy
The units themselves appear to be exact matches to what AT&T/Directv supplies and so are a good buy

I got the remote I'm using with the DVR satellite receiver to work as it should except that you do have to turn the audio system on and off separately from the receiver and the TV (as expected,) but it was a different story with the two other receivers

Great remotes works on my DirecTV boxes right out the box just how to program the TVs so works well

The look great but remotes get dirty, get to looking worn and the buttons stop working with a light touch so need to be replaced often.
The buttons get much less responsive over time but for less than $7, these are inexpensive to replace.
I really liked the look and feel of the RC73 remote but found it lacked some very useful buttons so went and ordered this to replace that one.
Had to replace our DirecTv remote as the buttons become unresponsive.
Over the past year I've had to press my guide and volume buttons ridiculously hard and repetitively to get them to respond on my old DIRECTV remote

You change channels from other rooms
Older model receivers may require an antenna to use this remote in RF mode (look for remote antenna input on the back panel of the receiver)
This remote will also work in IR mode if your receiver is not RF capable (must change remote to IR mode).
