The games are so slow and the system restarts constantly because of it running so slow.

Both my kids have one and they learn so much from the fun apps and games.

The games don't work great for smaller children that are still learning motor control because it's easy to swipe the home/back button up and take them out of the game.

The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition tablet has some quirks that frustrated my 19 month old kid (like the home button popping up when she was trying to use a coloring app and inadvertently closed out of the app), but it was fine for her use

Also had great features like forcing the kids to read stories before they were allowed to have play time and monitoring playtime on the tablet as well

YouTube kids is unsupported, so daughter prefers my iPad.

I am, however, having a hard time side loading YouTube kids.

I was very excited to get this tablet for my 3 year old on the autism spectrum and since we have had it 2 days it has been crashing and the screen turning black or the audio goes o n a broken loop sounding like loud rustling

They will offer you a $5 gift card for 6 hours of online troubleshooting of their buggy software.

However, the software and support are disappointing and frustrating.

Second, the parental software is a serious pain in the backside to use.

There are a ton of apps, and finding the good ones for the correct t age range is challenging.

Within a few months I had to send one of the tablets back because of charging issues

I got mine from Best Buy for $30 less with same case and a free 64 G memory card.

This has been virtually stress free for all and it does not have the internet connection or charging issues of the nabi.

Very energy efficient, little to no system failure but the charging issue is a major turn off.

These tablets were great at first...until we had to keep re setting up and downloading all the content due to a weird programming issue where any Amazon OS updates cause all the content to be erased from the tablet.

Additionally, I dislike the update process for the kindle, as each update has caused the kindle to lose functionality

We'll probably end up using it with a non-child account, so they can watch S&D and Daniel Tiger, but that defeats the point of buying a tablet that claims kid-friendly features (since the prime video app on any tablet can do that).
