I unfortunately do not have the hours on end to work with amazon tech support (although I did try and do have a ticket number) to get their product to work as it should and their previous version do.
Just beware as I got a 16 gun anything smaller is not enough for most.
I will continue with the product as long as it's available!
Like all Kindle Fire tablets, this one is an excellent e-reader.
With the 8 we started having charging problems within a few
I absolutely hate the silk browser, which makes you use the cloud to continue on web pages, and even worse I get a 403 forbidden error for going to a legitimate site that I use on my phone or computers
The only positive I can speak on the Fire 8 is that the battery lasts a while and screen is decent
Kindle Hd is a good e-reader except the battery problem
I use google as my search engine as I really don’t like the silk browser

then I'd care to admit figuring out how to disable it only to find that not only are you unable to do it from the device itself but when you go into your amazon device setting they want to charge you another $15 dollars in order to disable the adds
I wanted better screen brightness for outdoor viewing as well as added Alexa usage while traveling
Don't like the free adds every time you open the tablet.

The only positive I can think of is the price and that is barely a positive.
It loses its connection every few minutes and it makes even the most simple task complicated

Ok tablet, screen is sluggish and over all device response is slow, WiFi doesn’t support WiFi DFS channels, so you are very limited to what channels you can use, and give you slower internet connection.
My other son also has a Kindle and although that one still works it will freeze up a lot and is super frustrating
It is super slow and lags a lot when switching between apps.
Having a problem with Alexa, other than that it is going to be needing to have the screen cleaned lots more frequently because with the charger cover the screen is always open.
it's a lot clearer makes playing games on it more enjoyable
Couldn't use a lot of the apps because the location services don't work for me.

But the charging port broke and came out with the charger.

The charging port broke on one and the other tablet just completely stopped working
These ads take even more work to get off in the settings, but at least it's free
Give us an option to pay say 150$ or 175 $ and have it come with a better screen and no ads
I do not like seeing the ads and games every time I open my tablet
I bought this for my 4 year old son (because I refuse to spend a lot of money on a tablet for him), as he can benefit from the learning games on the app
I decided to write this review today because, several months after getting my tablet ad free and the home screen the way I like it, Amazon updated something and the audible ads in the home screen we're back
