There's a good weight to it, and the size is nice and portable

The actual size of the controls is nice too: small enough to have a lot of them, but still chunky enough to make it easy to tweak parameters without looking down

What a great musical addition to an already great keyboard.

the nanokey 2 was such a great addition to my setup, that I believe I will be adding more products from korg to my list.

it is a great addition to any Professional or Home Studio.

You can't really play it as the keys are pretty unresponsive but it is a very good note input device for music software.

The Korg Nano key is a great device for composing or tweaking on the road

This portable device from the Korg NanoPad series has decent pads, for the price

Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and recommend this device for serious musicians as well as those who just like to dabble.

I can understand where someone that does play keyboards, or started out on piano would not like the device

When I bought it I could have bought more expensive units and I am glad I did not

I absolutely love the little unit, its usable for pretty much any type of mixing you need.

I couldn't believe how easy this unit was to set up and use

It is a solid unit and the price was right, however, none of the pads have back lit LED's, So you really got to watch the screen to see whats triggered when you fire things off, Hopefully the Korg Nano pad III will have back lit LED's built into the pads

This unit looks very fragile, but I have had no problems at all with it, and it has been knocked off my desk more than once by my 5 year old

So, to summarize, if you can't afford a more serious mix controller but you're sick and tired of using a mouse for everything, this is an acceptable option that will ease a lot of that burden

The negative comments of certain users, I can understand that the controller is stiff, however it can be too sensitive too

and i would totally buy another one, that is how great this daw controller is

Great little keyboard controller, works great with garage band or pro tools.

Great for programming beats as well as a general MIDI controller for whatever instrument you want

They're all from KORG, so it's a bargain to get these quality controllers at such a great price

If you need a higher performing product, then you're in the wrong price bracket!Now for a simple mod that you can do to increase the sensitivity on the Nano2:1) Open up the unit (unplugged) with a small screwrdriver2) lift away the pc board and contact sheet3) place a few pieces of scotch tape on the bottom of each rubber pad.

Use it often when I want to create tracks for my music, great price, arrived fast, very portable..just perfect!

While it is not up to the feel of larger more expensive pads, for something that is bus powered that can be thrown into a bag it is pretty darned good

However if you want an xy pad and don't have any velocity sensitive pads either, this is a good controller

However, the pads are pretty stiff and track pad leaves a lot to be desired.

The buttons themselves are hard plastic and not soft pads as I expected, and they just feel clunky

The pads are not as sensitive as I thought they should be

The buttons are plastic-y with not as much weighted-ness as someone who plays piano or even a cheap keyboard may be used to, but they are velocity sensitive, so once you do get the hang of it, it works like a charm

This is a great little keyboard, but it's smaller than I thought it would be, and the keys are plastic and kind of mushy.

For the price it’s incredibly powerful, but obviously it’s not the most powerful thing that you can get

The only issue now is that the slider for channel 1, if I turn it all the way down, it turns off all the lights on my launchpad, which is obviously a bad thing

I had a hell of a time figuring out how to get this thing to work right with Ableton.

Super easy to use and write on the go, but good lord are the keys on this thing awful.

The overall feel is very much like a computer keyboard, so it doesn't have the long stroke of a typical music keyboard.
