Maybe they skip a little, here and there, and I wish they came in a fine point, but we love them.
Especially if you are looking for a pen where the point is not as fine.
Get these instead "Pilot G2 Retractable Premium Gel Ink Roller Ball Pens, Fine Point, Assorted Colors, 8-Pack (31128)
I like a more fine point, but this is a great color variety.
Though they are a medium point pen (I prefer fine point), they do the job very well.

Do not buy, you will be disappointed if you are looking for a smooth writing pen.
They leave ink blots, uneven writing and have these fat writing tips
Smooth writing just make sure you take the clear caps off the tips of the pens before use.
Other than that, one of my favorite pens for smooth writing.
I would recommend these pens to anyone looking for a smooth writing pen and doesn't mind bold print.

They may not be as fancy as the new Ink Joy line, but these are better quality pens

For a better quality pen I'd suggest the Paper Mate Ink Joy pens 550

They write super smoothly and the ink is nice and bright

I'd pass and just go with the black only -- the other colors (except for dark blue) are useless to me.
My favorite are the two different purples, the turq,fusia pink, dark blue, and the brown
Colors are nice, helps with studying and needing variety, but I did notice that most of the pens (except the black, red, and dark blue) would go in and out of using ink
