Quality felt decent, jog wheels were smooth, and button felt on par.

I had to return this back to the local shop for refund though, you just don't realize how important the master cue mix to headphones is.....until you don't have it.

Also the SB3 has 16 pads which are far easier to switch pad modes from sampler to hot cue and others

This is a great unit to start on or even for a lightweight mobile setup like I use it for.

Cheesy effects and scratching pads, no cue mix knob anymore from the SB2, overall good unit, but I should have opted for the next level up as this is barely outside the realm of a toy.

For those wanting to get into DJ work, good unit to gain entry into it.

All of this for a decent price from one of the most credible brands in music hardware.

The price is right, but it does seem like it would be way more useful with the full version of Serato.

MIXXX, on the other hand, (free software!) allows you to direct the sound anywhere you want, bypassing the DDJ-SB3, while still keeping control over the trim, EQ, filtering, and playback control from the DDJ.

The free software does basically everything you need except allow you to record yourself.

Easy to setup plug and play as well as the software is easy to source through and add mix music in.

This mixer is real nice for the price can do professional mixes really like

I think this is a great starter mixer for new dj's and for dj's who are about great sounding mixes with a decent array of effects
