Many times folks being interviewed get a little nervous(Yes, even big stars) when you set up with wires and connectors and such

The only thing that I didn't like is that it is not very directional and picks up a lot of ambient noise at the same time it makes your voice sound more clear

Terrible buzz (with or without the adapter) when the extension is connected

It picks up a bit of background noise (i.e. bathroom fans in the background, a loud TV buzz) but I the quality seems good

so i'm not a novice - and used this mic on a shoot today and there is a loud buzzing in the background

The only issue is that if anything touches any part of the adapter or the jacks, there is a rather annoying buzz in the audio that I can't fix in editing

You can still hear some wind noise, but the sound is loud and clear

The lavalier iPhone mike is of a pretty good quality, comes with a few extras:foam windscreen which helps cut down wind noise and is very convenient, an adapter and an extra cord.
