would have given 5 stars but unfortunately having the fancy red roadster car taking me to/from destination not available & only have the triangle going down the street . . .
You also can not change the navigation arrow to a car symbol like the older model allowed you too
I hate that my last one had a cool car icon and this one for the price don't even have 1 car to choose from

Even with the "ask me every time" setting, it chooses the fastest route, not knowing that the shortest route may be only 30 seconds longer but may offer less risk of backups at certain times.7
You can also store your favorite locations and routes for later retrieval
I purposely passed some streets it was telling to me turn on to just to see how fast it would recalculate a route and it recalculated quickly.
but I will say that in a recent test it found the most efficient route of the three.

Great update for a GPS if you are willing to give up some easy to add customization from previous version

Either it is a bad device or the product itself has bugs
It goes without saying that outstanding product support for 5 years is unheard of and is provided
Everything works fine and it's easy to use, this is the third or fourth TomTom I have purchased good product I kinda wore the others out but not totally
It is a very bad product.
For a new model, and being mindful of the free-to-all competition from Google, I would expect a better product and a better experience

I bought this to replace a faithful TomTom whose battery would no longer take a charge.
So far I have been very impressed by how intuitive this TomTom is to use, and how flexible and customizable
Everything works fine and it's easy to use, this is the third or fourth TomTom I have purchased good product I kinda wore the others out but not totally
Over all, I would say the Tomtom is inferior to Garmin, except for those awful Garmin driver alerts
I now love my 4th TomTom now that I know how to use it.

I love being able to see the speed limit and you don't always know the current speed limit when entering a new roadway, at least right away.
This includes speed limits, actual speeds traveled, a timestamp, and the geographical location.
But with this TomTom, you cannot display your speed or prevailing speed limit unless you are following a programmed route.
The speed limit indicator works out of the box, which is also greatly appreciated.

The screen has frozen solid as soon as connected it to "my drive connect" to update it.
It constantly 'loses connection', even though connected to a new computer with cord supplied and using the mydrive software.
