I have many scanners but this one has the most value for its modest price and size
I would recommend this scanner to others and friends .... perfect size not to big or to small just what I ordered!
Was easy to program and has excellent sound for such a small speaker and compact portable size.

I bought this scanner based on the good reviews and fairly low price
Great scanner, but malicious pricing
Handheld bearcat scanner was a great buy at a fair price
It is lightweight, easy to hold, , works well and the price was good

It's not a bad product for what I needed it for I would recommend it specialy for its portability a good scanner for the price.

i would say the uniden bc 75xlt handheld scanner is very portble can take it with you anywhere over all a good product
Product will only pick up weather stations and even then they aren't clear and I can never hear anything local even when they are close by I would recommend another unit but this one does not work even after we looked up fixes online

The reception - even from this short distance - was not that great
reception was horrible and volume was incredibly low even if I could grab a frequency.

The bottom line is that this is a well made, reasonably priced scanner that comes with a lot of useful features and is extremely easy to use
I will admit it is easy to use and has great features but still worthless to me.
The scanner has a wonderful feature that allows you to hone in on local frequencies, thus taking the aggravation out of spending an endless amount of time trying to connect to transmitters that are nearby

This unit will NOT work without batteries, which is unfortunate.
For the more advanced listener looking for more features and capabilities this unit will not be enough for it does not do trunking and some other features.
The unit works as expected in the 406-512 UHF band, local Police & Fire
The unit is sturdy and will remain undamaged if you should drop it.
I live out in the country and hitting repeaters in surrounding town is know problem, Very good unit for the price

If you're a first responder or tow truck driver, don't waste your money.
and i can listen to my local police and fire from a free app don't waste your money on this like i did .

The scanner worked well, but the accompanying manual was rather confusing.
The scanner has considerable ability and range, as well as being compact
It took a little bit of experimenting to figure out how to program the channels correctly, as the manual was very vague, and it goes through batteries quickly.

Simple handheld scanner with the best reception for a cheaper model
I did further review, and discovered this is a constant complaint regarding this specific model.
but again very very cheap model and very brittle plastic used for case.
Lastly, this is the best selling scanner on Amazon, but the Uniden support site does not support this model from the pull down menus.
