When installed in my airstream it works fabulously, and this is where I have chosen to put it at present, but since the outdoor antenna is a magnet and air streams are aluminum, I will have to leave it in a retractable/semi install until I can find an acceptable form of attachment.

Obviously, the results would have been much better with an improved external antenna, but as a starting point, the simple antenna that comes in the kit is enough to give anyone a noticeable boost in signal if properly set up

This is a flat antenna, and must be placed somewhere optimal.

However, there was only one spot on my Mini Clubman where I could place the antenna and that was at a minimally allowed distance between sun roof and car antenna; got it all connected, though, which was quite easy, and flicking the conveniently placed on/off switch to on caused the device to light up and by all indications it was set to work; took it for a spin from the shore area to further inland (just a few miles difference) and made local calls from a variety of spots (2, 3 & 4 bars) and compared them while the 'Signal Booster' was turned on, and off

I run mine with both a phone and a Verizon mifi card, and keeps a 4G signal in some amazing places, and even 3G or 1X in places you would expect nothing at all

On the end of the plug is an on / off switch so if you don't have a switched lighter socket you can turn the booster off so it doesn't drain your battery

I spoke to Wilson and was told they sell an NMO mount and will be releasing a new series of antennas as the FCC approves them that will work better on 4G.Be sure to put this tiny antenna in the middle of your car roof to improve it's dismal performance.

Installation is straightforward, just look up the installation video on youtube, and make sure the external antenna and the internal relay antenna are > 4 feet apart, and make sure you play with the placement of the internal antenna, otherwise they may cause interference.

It does works very well with proper positioning of the (inside and outside) antenna's, but realistically if there is extremely little & fluctuating to no reception of any cell towers where you park your vehicle, you may get a reading that shows some cell availability (1 bar) but you still may not be able to send or receive a text with so low of a reading)
