Reviews around behringer (5.00 of 5)

  • Behringer's website was not very helpful in helping me identifying the issue.
  • Nice compact mixer, really useful to be able to plug it right in a start recording, behringer is decent quality especially for the price
  • Behringer would have had a winner on their hands if corners weren't cut.

Reviews around price (5.00 of 5)

  • * Relatively easy to set-up* Good price for non-professional* Connects to computer easilyCons
  • To top it off, the price of this unit was 1/2 the cost of the unit it was replacing
  • While this board has a great price it is not quite the best for vocals that require low ambient noise
  • Pro's: Great price, quality product from a quality company

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • It did its job well mixing all my inputs to my headphones while im gaming
  • These cables are inexpensive, do the job well, and the right angle keeps them from sticking out too much.
  • The compressor seems to do a fine job, but I'm only recording talking and not dynamic singing vocals, so I'll give it a real test later.

Reviews around feature (5.00 of 5)

  • Also the greatest feature on this behringer line is the compressor, means you don't need to buy it separately

Reviews around microphone (4.42 of 5)

  • Perfect for beginners or those who want something easy to plug in a nice microphone with phantom power
  • Remember that no Phantom Power would work with dynamic microphones in general
  • On higher volume levels it can have a slight buzz on sensitive microphones, but with a little tweaking, it can be easily removed.
  • I use it to record audio and voice conferencing using a Shure SM48-LC Vocal Dynamic Microphone, Cardioid
  • The microphone to instrument cable adapters are heavy and I've destroyed a few microphone jacks that way.

Reviews around work (4.16 of 5)

  • I don't like that it doesn't have a power switch, but works perfect for what we do.
  • I'm glad there is competition, because I believe the competition always sees ways to make something better!I recently even went to website, and they're doing some incredible work with their digital mixers
  • Perfect for any computer audio editing, USB works without audio input port, which is getting hard to find on new laptops.

Reviews around sound (4.03 of 5)

  • So far / clean, rich sound - especially for the very low price
  • Just the microphone, but it allows me to get very good sound for audio commentary w/o having a 1U rack mount sitting on my desk.
  • Sound is good, no noise or hissing
  • NEVER push the "To Main Mix" button when the USB is plugged in or it will create a loop back which will amplify all sounds exponentially and destroy your monitors or headphones !
  • About a week ago when I got home, I smelled a "Burning Plastic" smell and a buzzing sound

Reviews around mic (3.86 of 5)

  • but as time went on.. the mic wasn't loud enough or it was becoming quieter (people on the other end said I was quiet
  • 15v Phantom power. if you have a powerful mic and external FX board that will tie into the 502, the phantom power is not enough to support it
  • Yes, phantom power is only 15v, but it is a quiet, well balanced mic pre for money
  • Either way, I get a cleaner sound using my M-Audio M-Track 2-Channel Portable than using this turd
  • Yes, it does ALL these things!Used with a high quality dynamic or condenser mic, it sounds terrific when recording vocals or instruments into the computer

Reviews around thing (3.82 of 5)

  • I don't blame Amazon or the company, these things slip by
  • This thing only makes a hiss and hum or no noise at all.
  • She gave it to me as a gift knowing she bought the right thing, nut up to
  • IF this idea appeals to you the ONLY thing I would give you a heads up on is the embedded sound in your computer.
  • Only weird thing is that the power supply is a custom 4-pin

Reviews around quality (3.78 of 5)

  • The sound quality is good, it offers enough inputs and you can hook up headphones on the return as a sound card
  • People often said behringer products this cheap don't have good quality but I will decline that acquisition
  • Like I can mute the instrumental in the DAW, and hear it in horrible quality behind my vocals
  • People often said behringer products this cheap don't have good quality but I will decline that acquisition
  • The recordings were often corrupt or poor quality

Reviews around power (3.16 of 5)

  • Why does an audio mixer need to use (and waste) that much power
  • 15v Phantom power. if you have a powerful mic and external FX board that will tie into the 502, the phantom power is not enough to support it
  • Phantom power on this unit is not strong enough to drive my microphone
  • I'm not sure if my mic just isn't getting enough power or what
  • I used this with my AT2020 for a 6+ months, but as I become more knowledgeable about the equipment I was using, I realized that the phantom power the 502USB provides just isn't adequate

Reviews around monitor (1.87 of 5)

  • NEVER push the "To Main Mix" button when the USB is plugged in or it will create a loop back which will amplify all sounds exponentially and destroy your monitors or headphones !
  • I play keyboards and if you play an instrument where you are not very mobile then using this as an in ear monitor is less expensive than a wireless system and very easy to implement
  • Significant noise is present when monitoring via the phones jack; even when nothing is connected.
  • It almost destroyed my monitors and headphones which were plugged in.
  • Either way, I get a cleaner sound using my M-Audio M-Track 2-Channel Portable than using this turd

Reviews around noise (1.54 of 5)

  • This thing only makes a hiss and hum or no noise at all.
  • Dunno what folks are talking about as far as noise is concerned, 'cause I've encountered none whatsoever
  • I use Behringer Phantom power (Mixer provides 15V of phantom power) with this to power up my C1 condensor microphone and it makes hissing noise after crossing a particular gain level
  • However, when I tried to record, there was a loud hissing noise present in all my recordings
  • Sound is good, no noise or hissing
