My son absolutely loves this mic and wanted it so badly for Christmas, it was easily his favorite gift

The blue snowball microphone is a very convenient yet affordable budget mic, although the stands that come with it isn't the best, you can always hook it up to a boom arm to make it a bit more useful

Great budget mic, for this price the quality you get from it pretty much good, i using it for gaming (talking with people on skype/discord/teamspeak) and it meets my expectations

its a great budget mic its better to get a boom for it then use the stand that comes with it tho lol.

UNKNOWN USB DEVICE (Device Descriptor Request Failed) is not working properly

He says the microphone works well, but after a few months the stand broke.

It arrived within a week of my purchase, however the USB B to A cable, that powers the device and allows it to work was missing from the box

This could be a good thing for many people, but for gaming I do not recommend it.

The thing finally killed itself yesterday and refused to transmit any audio.

Very easy to set up nice quality the only negative thing is that do not have a cute button but the voice quality is amazing definitely worth every penny

This microphone is great and the quality is very good for the price, easy setup, and the only thing that annoys me is the fact that it can pick up background noises.

That is a good thing about the mic because I ended up using my studio mic stand for recording.

It picks up more ambient noise and you don't have a way to reduce the intake on the mic (like you do on the regular, non-Ice, Snowball, where you can switch it to -10db)

and i relized my mic was as good as if i was recroding it on a potato, so i went out and bought this, thought it would be a rip

Be forwarned though that it is very sensitive, so watch those exterior ambient noises when recording

I found that not to be the case for this instance as well as I've recorded multiple videos for Youtube and I love the quality of this microphone and i'll probably have this microphone for a long time

Only complaint would be that it picks up way too much background noise.

I use it to record ASMR videos for youtube and it doenst pick up background noise so its perfect.

This is apparently a known issue with this mic and USB 3.0 - and not even a reboot seems to fix it

Does not work with windows 10 seems to be a known issue with usb mics that has been around since windows 10 was released.

Only issue I've had is a known-issue with snowball mics where sometimes blue snowballs in particular do not always play nicely with other mic devices if you have to change between default audio microphones often, and sometimes when attempting to switch back to using the Snowball (especially coming out of Sleep) will find that the audio doesn't pick up until I perform reboot or unplug replug the USB

A "Pop Filter" stops the explosive "P" noises that you hear when you say a "P" word close up into the microphone

I recommend getting a cheap pop filter and a Neewer stand if you are streaming/recording

Another thing I want to point out is the fact that this microphone can pickup plosives (those popping/distorting sounds microphones usually pickup when one pronounces ‘P’s or other loud consonants) really easily, so I might suggest getting a pop filter as well

The only major gripe is the issue with wind and popping but a cheap pop filter would easily fix that
