*could have been* a great product-- what were they thinking??
I would not recommend this product for studio recording (even though Justin Bieber used this mic) because it does not provide that many options when recording audio
Great product replaced old mic really captures voice but not background noise its great for commentating or podcasting for sure its a great buy
Its too bad with so many good reviews, this product can be so cheap and useless.
Product appears to be a good quality product that is well made.
Yes, the sound quality is pretty good for a plug play solution, but its design is poor and hinders its functionality
Doesn't take up much desk space at all and as I said, with it's sleek design, makes the desk look better
As a matter of fact I gave it 2 Stars for the fact that it is pretty solid and well designed (On the outside)The Mic itself has very bad noise in the background, despite the fact it is completely quit in here
I love the design and the texture and look of the brushed aluminum
My only beef is that Blue cheapened the design of the stand, as I understand it
I started with the Blue Snowflake and, to be honest, didn't notice any difference in the sound of the spoken voice with the more expensive Blue Snowball microphone
If you're deciding between this and the Yeti I would recommend the Snowball wholeheartedly
The Snowball is excellent for doing a assortment of things,
The yeti a better mic, however that does not mean that the snowball is garbage
But until then, the Snowball will work just fine and dandy.
AWESOME product, use it every day as well as for my webinar hosting and podcasts.
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
When I initially bought the microphone, I liked it, but after using it for about 15 weeks, I notice an intermittant audio cut that follows the microphone, and is present on my Mac in both Garage Band and Audacity, as well as on my Windows 8 PC in Audacity
I first bought this to do some digital recording, but found that it also works great for Skype and other video meetings, as well as for dictation using Dragon Naturally Speaking
Bad sadly the fragile metal wires behind the head bent easily and eventually ceased to function completely

The sound quality is good, but now I have to upgrade my PC for this to work as it cuts in and out since it needs more memory to run
We used headset microphones and found a lot of static, tinny or echoe effects, or just weird crackles or pops as the user moved the headset microphone boom
but at the same time the lows are as good as the headset
Only used it for audio recording and it does much better than cheaper USB mics and headsets.

I had a cheap wal-mart headset that I was using before and that sounded horrible compared to this (that is why I was looking for a new mic)
I plan on buying another one with a stand and a pop filter (not necessary if not talking directly into the mic) and can't wait to get another great mic back (using a crappy headset with a built in mic).

I'm using this to pick up ambient noises in an auditorium, works pretty well, but it would be much better for podcasting or straight forward vocal recording.
AWESOME product, use it every day as well as for my webinar hosting and podcasts.
I use it in a home office and find draping a bath towel over it blocks out much of the ambient noise yet allows it to pick up my voice very well
I learned to remove and reduce ambient noise so that is an easy problem to fix
Due to its high sound quality, it's also very sensitive so beware of noisy environments.
I live in a noisy environment and it cancels everything and only picks up what is directly in front of
The cardioid setting is perfect for those in a somewhat noisy environment
It is a bit large and picks up ambient sound more than I would like, but it has served me quite well and there is always push to talk with you are in a loud environment.
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
but I can't even move a it little because it lost the connection with the computer and sometimes I notice until I finish
The connection is poor between the mic and cable and not of good design or adequate for the this level of microphoneLisa
One, the tripod's connection to the microphone could be a little more stable (it won't fall off, but it may turn away from you if you move the surface its resting on too much) and two, the light on top of it makes it rather annoying to use in the dark (rather bright).TL;DR cheap and good with no extra purchase requirements = win
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
The mic will still plug in, but everyone once and it while it will lose connection
Its a great mic and has very little to no background noise.
