Buddybar Door Jammer Home Security Door Bar
How much is your personal and family security worth? The answer is priceless, but it won't cost you nearly that much with the Buddybar Door Jammer. Of course you can buy door jammers that are less than half the price of ours. But before you do, we en...
This jammer is heavy and made of solid steel, there's no rubber parts to it, no pins to keep it locked, and you can tell by holding it that it's a quality product.
All steel, well constructed, easy to set up and take down when you need to use the door.
Heavy steel, solidly built like a bulldog, attractive, simple and easy to use, and every inch of it -- from the part that cradles the knob, to the bar, to the paint, to the latch and the thick, heavy teeth, to the
Very heavy, solid steel construction, not cheap aluminum.
It is solid steel, with a very thick and waffled rubberized coating
Easy to use but heavy duty home safety for a reasonable price
So far worth the price due to the steel used and the latching device to adjust to the door.
$50 might seem like a little bit of money to go to this much trouble for, but in this economy we all better make sure we get what we pay for and at the best price
Worth the price to know the door is more secure from break-in
That's a small price to pay, and well worth the extra $30 or so
Then I ordered the Buddybar after reading numerous good reviews about it and I can say that I love it!The Buddybar feels extremely strong, durable, and has a good weight to it
For the ultimate security, I bought this BuddyBar to lock the door in place, and thwart a burglar from possibly breaking a window on the door and reaching around to unlock the door
We use it on carpet and took turns trying to kick in the door as hard as we could.
and the Buddybar will buy me some time jammed against my bedroom door.
but my wife another one if this one was stolen of broken (as unlikely as that seems).
Of course I could have kicked the door hinges or something else, but the point is that I have found this bar to be far more effective than the plastic-tipped alternative jams which have not held up to muster because of weak plastic joints or a too-slippery rubber bottom
It's easy to justify the price when you compare the quality materials to cheaper plastic models.
This is s very well made product
The top of the buddybar does not fit under the handle as well as it should.
The construction of the Buddybar seems really solid as opposed to some flimsy plastic versions.
This thing will lift and break your door knob right off
if your in an area that may put this Buddybar to the test, you may also want to invest in a strong door knob (which really shouldn't cost to much at all). But with this bar, a steel entry door, with a good/solid door knob, this setup will give you plenty of time to dial 911, or get yourself ready for an intruder....hopefully both!Really though, this should be enough to discourage the wouldbe intruder to give up, and leave
Just make sure you have a good door knob that is tight and this should hold up against a determined crook.
If you put it on too tight you may damage your door knob
I initially gave this a bad review because it damaged a door knob because I cranked it too tight.
The top of the buddybar does not fit under the handle as well as it should.
You could shake the handles and the doors would shake, too.
This is a heavy steel bar (about 8 pounds) and possibly strong enough to break your door handle if installed improperly, so be cautious when installing
