Corel WordPerfect Office Suite has always been a great alternative to MS Office, at a much more affordable price

Before you could save as different formats well (the formatting always got messed up...either way you went...from Word to WP or from WP to Word) I would recreate work forms (like where there is a master and you fill in data by hand...like a mileage sheet or something) on Wordperfect

Corel's word perfect works so much easier than the other system I was paying for and it does not have to be re-purchased each year.

It's easy to understand and the help section is great, as well.

And the addition of a photo editing tool is a nice touch, as well.

I have Word on my computer as well, since I work in the military and there Word is the standard; but I use Wordperfect for anything I can.

I prefer WordPerfect to MS Word for lengthy articles because of the feature called Reveal Codes.

For all the good E-mail exchanges with Corel's customer service regarding this issue managed to achieve I might as well have been conversing with a tree

After a week talking with Corel, I finally got the issue re3solved and the software is running fine.

LibreOffice as well as SoftMaker office and their completely MS compatible and capable software or Apple if you can afford it

Corel Word Perfect remains my preferred choice of word processor even though I have 4 others to chose from as well.

Like Corel X7, Corel X8 is still easy to use & is as good as Microsoft Word

Sadly, Corel hasn't put much effort into polishing its few rough edges (spreadsheet graphics used to be great, not its useless), although the word processor wins hands down!

The sole thing against Corel Word Perfect is the market dominance of Microsoft Word, which I personally consider for my needs an inferior product.

One of Corel's biggest advantages is the ability to revel the codes the program uses

and I need a good document program, I used to be proficient in WP decades ago at the beginning, not any more, the 'reveal codes' are really helpful, I've sent out documents that appeared great to me, but the prof discounted my grade because the margins were not even, in my chosen profession, this is important

Reveal codes avoids the hassle of dealing with hidden Word formatting codes.

Love the reveal codes and many other features the program offers.

I only use the word processing part, but this is a great product.

Whether WordPerfect X8 is the “better” product is debatable

so I cannot say anything about that version, but this program is totally useless and frustrating to use

I am beginning to believe that this program is a waste of time and prefer reverting to my older WordPerfect Office 11, at least that opens every time.

Any version of WordPerfect should be able to read any WordPerfect document, even if it misses the formatting details

Price was great, and I like this version even more than the previous ones I have had.

This version does not work with PDF files.

Their operating system has altered, but, worse yet, Office has become very difficult to use for me and, alas, has persuaded me to try WordPerfect

New Word can do this, but the ribbon is still annoying, and even worse is the extremely intrusive Office Uploader app
