The first game here, Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, is very much inspired by the collect-a-thon approach made popular by Super Mario 64.

Clipping an object or one of the billions of aimless pedestrians infesting the city streets will throw you off completely, so basically any racing challenge requires replaying over and over and over and over and over and over until you finally get lucky (as with the jumping puzzles).

My kids Love it, even though it is a bit difficult even for myself when I play along.

I played the original Jak and Daxter and Jak II on my ps2 when I was a kid and I loved the games, so I got this as a gift for my little brother's birthday.

I loved this game as a kid and to find them in the next gen console and all together couldn't get any better than this love it

Oh and as far as the game itself goes, it definitely brings back childhood memories... but for some reason I remember it being easier as a kid!

I bought this game because, as a kid, I had so much fun playing it in my free time.

Most action/adventure type games start you off with some type of tutorial, and it's usually harmless (well, not this time)

You'll notice the jaggies when you're standing still or when things are going slowly, but the "natural motion-blur" that comes with the framerate will usually blur up all the jaggies enough so that you won't see them when you move

I cannot remember if the Sly collection also had bad jaggies or not, I do remember the 3 games being gorgeous though.

You may occasionally use Dark Jak, but this requires a full collection of dark eco, which can only be (slowly) obtained by killing enemies

They introduced weapons in the form of guns, which overall makes the sequels actually feel more like shooters a la Ratchet and Clank than platformers, and you now have a "Dark Jak" form which you can activate once your dark eco meter is filled

Some people tend to dislike the second one thanks to a transition into a more GTA feel, but I found that it fit into the story and over all feel that the game and series was going for

Jake and Daxter was great to see, although it didn't seem as amazingly stunning graphically as jak 2 and 3, this was still a fun game that had many secrets and a great storyline with many twist, weird people, and funny jokes

Now you can also be pissed off at a skateboard that doesn't move how you want, racing in cars that are quite difficult to control, playing a 3rd-person shooter with a gun that doesn't kill people, jumping on platforms that for some reason are just far enough away to allow you to drop to your death 25% of the time, and solving puzzles that sadly shouldn't even be called puzzles
