This is a great little tool if you have a bunch of slides around that you want to convert.

It allows you to shoot RAW (if your phone supports it) and gives you simply the best tools afterwards to tweak your shots

Instead of the extensive editing tools available in the app which came with the mobile scanner , I used the edit features from my camera

The app (free) gives you some photo enhancement capabilities to get you close, but some slide transfers may take more robust tools

Poor quality picture from negatives

Using the Kodak software I didn't get good clear pictures.

If you fiddled with it enough you could get a picture usable as a "memory" using your phone and a lot of post editing.

I now have beautiful pictures I can print out from a negative.

but once you have it, snap away and see your negative picture history.

Using your smart phone you can get this done quickly and easily.

What you get is a cardboard box stand that you lay your mobile phone on top

Using my smart phone has made this easy to edit them and the quality is great

Once taken, the app allows you to easily save to the phone (bad idea) or email/text/airdrop/post images

I suspect the quality this will yield will only be as good as the film positive/negative and the camera in your smart phone

Best of I think, is the resulting image quality is only limited by the camera on your phone and the slides themselves

I was able to get great results on slides and negatives that I was about to throw away.

The light is so bright, the slide image is washed out in white on my iPhone 6s (notably bad camera, I admit)

A problem with all-in-one slide scanners is that the inexpensive ones have mediocre cameras, and the ones with good cameras are, well, expensive

It matters little how good your camera works--it is still blurry and poor quality.

For the price, relatively easy to use and the fact you can edit in google photos and then share easily, a great product if you have lots of slides to copy.

The B&W and color slides have come out pretty good but the quality of the color negative scans has been all over the place

very blurry scans, not true to the photo at all

The quality of the Minolta scans are vastly superior to the Kodak ones, however I find that the Kodak scanner is extremely useful to quickly preview my negatives and decide which images are worth scanning

so the phone's camera is quite capable and I could not get usable scans.

The scanner is a small device and therefore very portable

With a few hundred old slides to turn into digital images, this device was easy, inexpensive, and great bargain

At first I despaired because everything I saw on the screen was a black frame, luckily I have another app and with it, it was much easier to adjust the lens, overall the device is not bad at all, I like it.

It’s a basic app that has “film negative, color negative, positive film” settings for your camera so it can interpret the image it sees over the film plate.

After you slide the negative strip in you can scan them one by one with the free app

The bad reviews I have seen I believe are from people who don’t know hoe to work with images using image processing software.

I pushed through the negative reviews on this film scanner because I really needed something quick and inexpensive, so I crossed my fingers and ordered

I emphasis mobile because some negative reviews seem to be upset that this is not as good as full real scanner

In my opinion the negative reviews of this item had to be improper setup by the user.
