Reviews around tool (5.00 of 5)

  • This is a great little tool if you have a bunch of slides around that you want to convert.
  • It allows you to shoot RAW (if your phone supports it) and gives you simply the best tools afterwards to tweak your shots
  • Instead of the extensive editing tools available in the app which came with the mobile scanner , I used the edit features from my camera
  • The app (free) gives you some photo enhancement capabilities to get you close, but some slide transfers may take more robust tools

Reviews around picture (4.50 of 5)

  • Poor quality picture from negatives
  • Using the Kodak software I didn't get good clear pictures.
  • If you fiddled with it enough you could get a picture usable as a "memory" using your phone and a lot of post editing.
  • I now have beautiful pictures I can print out from a negative.
  • but once you have it, snap away and see your negative picture history.

Reviews around phone (4.48 of 5)

  • Using your smart phone you can get this done quickly and easily.
  • What you get is a cardboard box stand that you lay your mobile phone on top
  • Using my smart phone has made this easy to edit them and the quality is great
  • Once taken, the app allows you to easily save to the phone (bad idea) or email/text/airdrop/post images
  • I suspect the quality this will yield will only be as good as the film positive/negative and the camera in your smart phone

Reviews around result (4.17 of 5)

  • Best of I think, is the resulting image quality is only limited by the camera on your phone and the slides themselves
  • I was able to get great results on slides and negatives that I was about to throw away.
  • Very poor results, I sent it back
  • Absolutely cheesy results with an iPhone 7 after an hour of wrestling with the software
  • Terrible results.

Reviews around camera (4.17 of 5)

  • The resolution is as good as your phones camera so if you have a recent phone, you will have great results.
  • I suspect the quality this will yield will only be as good as the film positive/negative and the camera in your smart phone
  • The light is so bright, the slide image is washed out in white on my iPhone 6s (notably bad camera, I admit)
  • A problem with all-in-one slide scanners is that the inexpensive ones have mediocre cameras, and the ones with good cameras are, well, expensive
  • It matters little how good your camera works--it is still blurry and poor quality.

Reviews around price (3.98 of 5)

  • Cheap price........very easy to use !!!
  • For the price, relatively easy to use and the fact you can edit in google photos and then share easily, a great product if you have lots of slides to copy.
  • Not really worth the price.
  • For a cardboard item, the price could have been cheaper.
  • Worth the price if all you want to do is get your slide/negatives into digital format so you can then use computer photo editing to clean up the image

Reviews around scan (3.98 of 5)

  • The B&W and color slides have come out pretty good but the quality of the color negative scans has been all over the place
  • I was initially going to get all of my negatives scanned by a store by me, but it was so
  • very blurry scans, not true to the photo at all
  • The quality of the Minolta scans are vastly superior to the Kodak ones, however I find that the Kodak scanner is extremely useful to quickly preview my negatives and decide which images are worth scanning
  • so the phone's camera is quite capable and I could not get usable scans.

Reviews around device (3.75 of 5)

  • The scanner is a small device and therefore very portable
  • With a few hundred old slides to turn into digital images, this device was easy, inexpensive, and great bargain
  • At first I despaired because everything I saw on the screen was a black frame, luckily I have another app and with it, it was much easier to adjust the lens, overall the device is not bad at all, I like it.
  • This particular device was not suitable for my purposes
  • This device and the associated app fail

Reviews around way (3.34 of 5)

  • I had a bunch of slides and needed an inexpensive way to turn them into
  • If all you want is a cheap way to view color 35mm negatives, this works
  • I'd recommend this to everyone who wants a cheap easy way to archive slides.
  • A very inexpensive way to transfer slides I have not seen in over 50 years
  • This way I won’t feel bad when I won’t need once all my negatives are stored.

Reviews around app (3.17 of 5)

  • But the app to edit the scanned pictures does not work.
  • The app that comes with it is also great as it allows me to edit the film and then share it if I'd like
  • It’s a basic app that has “film negative, color negative, positive film” settings for your camera so it can interpret the image it sees over the film plate.
  • After you slide the negative strip in you can scan them one by one with the free app
  • This film scanner comes with a really nice app that allows me to edit the images from the film.

  • Very easy to use, inexpensive and surprisingly good quality.
  • Cons:•Does not produce good quality photos.•Way over priced
  • I didn't see how I could reproduce a good quality photograph from this setup.
  • by the time I got negatives to scan, I realized how poor quality it was

Reviews around cardboard (2.18 of 5)

  • Although the quality isn't as good as if you used a professional film negative scanner, it's good enough and great bang for your buck.
  • It works as it says it does
  • It is cardboard and it fell on the floor at which time the top ripped off.
  • It works as it says it does
  • Overall this thing is cheap cardboard with a LED light.

Reviews around describe (1.61 of 5)

  • Had no issues as described in other reviews
  • so far I've scanned some B&W negatives, a few color slides and some color negatives with some very mixed results
  • * Kodak app does not support B&W positive copying
  • Didn’t work well as described in instructions

Reviews around review (1.00 of 5)

  • The bad reviews I have seen I believe are from people who don’t know hoe to work with images using image processing software.
  • I pushed through the negative reviews on this film scanner because I really needed something quick and inexpensive, so I crossed my fingers and ordered
  • I emphasis mobile because some negative reviews seem to be upset that this is not as good as full real scanner
  • In my opinion the negative reviews of this item had to be improper setup by the user.
  • In THIS way, you can go through your B&W or color negative collection.
