I have some what gotten the TV to look better on dark scenes, but it still isn't perfect and I'd even say my old 4k TV does a better job with the dark scenes
This does 4k flawlessly (as it should), but also does a delicious job with upscaling (upconverting) HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) to 4K (3,840x2,160 pixels).
If you wrote a review and you lied to everyone else that read this good job
amazing job upscaling HD to UHD/4KVoice commands on the remote - only
nothing going on...who restored this TV ...either unable or too stupid...this is not a good job!!!
The perky teardrop pointer makes selecting your app highly visible and easy to use
All your favorite apps are on-screen, such as Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Hulu, etc
Lastly, for the medium sized review Ill touch on the remote - nice shape, has a scroll wheel, voice input button to speak to the tv for commands like Mute etc, and the remote functions as gesture device (think WII remote) - just move the remote about and a pointer appears on the screen allowing you to interact with the TV options like settings or when using the apps like Netflix and Amazon etc
The sound is unbeatable (for an in TV speaker) and I love all the apps that are included.

The scene itself is actually overlit (not too bright just an unnatural look because of too many light sources) but again this is not the TV.
- I got a 4K TV - now, what can I do with it?Lets revisit the Upscaling / Upconverting discussion for just a moment - this is REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT because right now there are not a lot of 4K video sources available
While 4K films look good (when done right and native 4K), BD still looks the overall best right now.
Good picture quality, nice sound, lightweight, easy to navigate smart tv functionality.
If you like poor quality natively rendered Dolby vision and not what it actually is on the market, great
MEDIUM SIZED REVIEWIncredible TV - stunning picture quality and astonishing sound quality (thanks Harman Kardon
Amazon additionally has dedicated channels for its UHD/HDR content that makes finding high quality 4K content easy
The Durrels in Corfu” Gorgeous results - possibly the highest quality non 4K content so far on this screen - such a joy to watch on this TV :)PRODUCT USE - INPUT - BLUE-RAY PLAYERMy son moved
Ok - great sound, great picture - that’s the main things a TV should do, but then we have the WEBOS operating system which allows you to navigate the connected apps and the settings for the TV
The sound on here is pretty good for one of these TV's.
A microphone on your remote control is used to calibrate the technology to leverage the natural acoustics of your room to deliver atmospheric 3D sound.
This technology is generally considered superior to backlit LCD/LED technologies, and is more expensive
bad technology.
This technology works most effectively on array lit screens.

Without local dimming, blacks appear as washed out grey tones on LCD/LED displays.
For comparison, a more expensive OLED display has an LED chip that produces both the color and the luminance, thus each pixel can control luminance independently and each pixel can be turned off completely.
1.5 million sub put it best... low lag, low input latency, high refresh and excellent display
It was a defective TV with a display/ Pixels issue
The actual panal, screen, might be great but LGs engineering, or lack of, or caring, because they want to push their OLED TVs, makes this one to avoid and my suggestion is to not buy this junk all together, as I wish I would have but I am now stuck with it
I did it, but, I’d advise waiting till someone can give you a hand because it could be quite difficult, and you don’t want to crack that screen
The lady of the house first night we had it commented that a newscaster's head is about the same size as our old 55" screen (lol, exaggerating but this thing is huge compared to the 55")
I watch ALOT of sci-fi and action movies and in UHD it looks as good as any movie theaters screen!
Where the screen wasn't broke and cracked, the picture looked amazing
Light-bleed' is when dark sections of the screen show a glare, which looks like a flashlight shining across the dark section, really any light bleeding into the wrong places
The screen is edge-lit (lights around the edge of the TV) & companies use 'local dimming' technologies to improve contrast on the dark screen sections that appear between something bright in the center & darkness around it.
n’t love him as much as I thought I did ;)

About the only downside to the picture on this TV is the dark scenes
I also turned off Local LED dimming because it seemed to distract me more than anything and also caused loss of dark scene detail.
It's virtually eliminated light bleeding and flashlighting on dark scenes
I have some what gotten the TV to look better on dark scenes, but it still isn't perfect and I'd even say my old 4k TV does a better job with the dark scenes
“Moving Art”Nice when scene is bright but less than 4k in appearance in shadows - not the
As others have mentioned there's horrible light bleed, the worst I've ever seen (working in home automation for the past decade that's saying something)
I also enjoyed the apps built into the TV.However, I cannot stress how HORRIBLE the light bleed is on this TV.
As has been noted, light bleed is pretty bad on this set
