Reviews around pair (4.03 of 5)

  • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
  • The sound quality was still just as good as when I bought them and they never gave me any issues whatsoever
  • If you are looking for an affordable pair of monitors with great sound quality, these are the ones for sure
  • We liked the first pair we bought so much that we bought two more.
  • I got 3 pairs of them....very good at the start ...but over a year they all stop working

  • It's a shame, because they were good value for the money while they lasted.

Reviews around monitor (3.65 of 5)

  • I wouldn't recommend these monitors, unless you REALLY need a pair of monitors and don't plan on getting attached
  • Mackie should not market this as a clear sounding monitor with good bass response because it is not
  • I generally like these monitors, but within a few weeks of use at low levels, the speaker with the inputs and controls developed a rattle as if something had worked itself loose internally
  • BUTAside from the bass not being as I expected, they're an excellent pair of monitors for anyone who just needs a pair of cheap and easy monitors
  • Other than that, these are great little monitor speakers.

Reviews around bass (3.61 of 5)

  • Music lovers who enjoy music with clean, well mixed, but not overwhelming, bass will not be disappointed.
  • At a very low volume they have good sound quality but when you turn it up even to 1/3 of full volume the bass gets distorted
  • The sound quality was still just as good as when I bought them and they never gave me any issues whatsoever
  • Bass might be too overpowering, but for music, they’re perfect

Reviews around signal (3.61 of 5)

  • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
  • I'm by no means cranking them up, but even at 3/4 volume with a reasonable signal (-3/-6 db), they distort (fuzzy) too much to be usable as true reference speakers.
  • Having a nice clean signal from the start is always a plus
  • The sound quality was still just as good as when I bought them and they never gave me any issues whatsoever

  • Speakers work really well.
  • Speakers sound good, offer bluetooth, but mine went out in less than 1 year of regular video editing use.
  • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.

Reviews around price (3.30 of 5)

  • A hundred dollars isn't a bad price, but I would suggest saving up for a higher grade set to get a more cost effective deal.
  • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
  • Great sound for my computer and fair price and good quality
  • Definitely not worth the price!!
  • Such great sound, and overall apparently good quality speakers at a reasonable price

Reviews around range (3.22 of 5)

  • They have no dynamic range at all and distort horribly even at low levels
  • The sound quality was still just as good as when I bought them and they never gave me any issues whatsoever
  • They have no dynamic range at all and distort horribly even at low levels
  • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
  • I use them with full dynamic range audio from a Chromecast Audio (although I think their low frequency response is just short of the typical requirement for full dynamic range) and the sound is stunningly clear

Reviews around feel (3.22 of 5)

  • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
  • If you pick these speakers, pair them with an amp and have the right room placement for them, I can guarantee happy listening for you and your wallet won't feel too light!
  • Solid plugin's with a nice positive feel when a cord is plugged in

Reviews around switch (1.69 of 5)

  • just started happening, the little left/right selector switch on the back started cutting out one of the speakers for no reason
  • But that cheap switch and the probability that it will only get worse is why I'm knocking off 2 stars
  • After not using them for around a year, the switch failed.
  • Sure, you can open the back up, but the switch is glued down to the mounting plate, and the PCB threatens to break if you try to pry it up.
  • the switch in the back of speakers no longer works after only owning these for 6 months and never using it(the switch) or moving it aside from once during set-up
