We did drive around Munich as well as to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles and had very strong signal coverage
While this may be a great value for some, we did not find it useful.
We primarily used this phone for Google Maps directions when driving or using public transit, as well as for voice calls to US and European numbers, and it worked great
I was able to get coverage on the ship itself in ports as well as near the coast

I would highly recommend this product as a budget saver compared to Verizon's services (on that note, my parents used Verizon in Italy and said the coverage was bad)
I had great coverage and fast speeds where 4G was available.
Easy-peasy, but... maybe not the best choice for a UK-only trip, as coverage was spotty in quite a few places, both urban London and rural
These sim cards "I bought 3" were 4G fast and no throttling or kicking the connection a slower edge network
The sim allows you to switch to different networks if you have poor cell coverage in one network.

After we landed , popped the SIM card in, received a text message stating the activation as well as for our french issued phone number
I regularly set my phone to make a hotspot so my family could share the data connection, and it worked great for that
We made a phone call which worked great and sent a few text messages which worked fine too
The phone worked in ports on the Greek Islands and most of the time when sailing between islands except when the ship was not near to an island with a cell tower.
Took the phone off automatic and connected to Telenor and it worked great

The data was slow throughout Spain and the Canary Islands
Excellent product, your phone must be unlocked, but other than that it works seamlessly, three countries in Europe and the UK, good coverage, good data speed, international calls and text
Orange Holiday did provide me good data and the ability to make calls; however, I cannot send texts, at least not to the U.S., where doing so is of the utmost importance throughout the day, so I can stay in touch while abroad for several weeks.
The only caveat was that it had no tethering and limited data.
Once that was done there was ample data for a 2 week holiday in France
