Quality is the primary issue in any purchase, and this product is a great value as well.

This pencil is not only sleek looking, it actually does the job really well
This is odd looking but probably necessary to ensure a no slip grip area at the tip

The Pentel Sharp Kerry is a remarkably unique pencil from Pentel
This is about the tenth Pentel Sharp Kerry pencil i've bought in the past few years
The Sharp Kerry is simply the best mechanical pencil I have ever used.
The Pentel Sharp Kerry mechanical pencil has a cap that prevents that from happening and I am very happy!
This new Kerry with the 0.7mm lead solves that problem.

The cap protects the point when not in use and comes off and attaches to the other end when in use.
The cap is awesome to utilize when the pencil is not being used because it protects the lead.
The small little cap that cover the eraser can also be lost and is certainly a choking hazard for kids.

The lead doesn't break as easily as other pencils but not because of the lead--because of the pencil
Either they break, snap the lead, or hurt my hands after a while (I grip my pencils tightly)

It would probably hold up okay as a pencil for an executive who safely stores it in a shirt pocket all the time, but for this guy on the go with a pocket full of change, a pocket knife, and pen, it looks a bit rough.
I have yet to get used to how it rattles a bit with the cap on
The bit of rubber that holds the lead in the tip has lost some elasticity over the years, but the lead still feeds OK without shooting out.
