You can twist the top of the pencil to extend more eraser (this thing is long, like an inch and a half or more of eraser, you'll find it very hard to run out of eraser with this thing)
One of the best things about this pencil is how light weight it is
My favorite thing about this pencil is how light it feels
The new retracting eraser smooths the whole erasing thing out nicely and makes eraser longevity and changing much less of a problem
I always carry one with me were ever I go, and because clip on the pencil has never broken ,which is a common problem, these pencle are the only thing that I use to write with
Comfortable rubber grip, very accurate/minimal protrusion of the
They are easy to use, have great grip, and hold extra lead.
Very comfortable silicone grip, good everyday lead thickness and hardness, and substantial twist eraser
Finally, the the barrel of the pencil is made of such flimsy material and the cushioning grip so inadequate that I found myself wondering if these pencils were a Pentel product or a mislabeled knock off.
Twist up eraser seems to last forever, light weight with comfortable grip, well made, and even great looking
I prefer the 0.7mm size because the leads don't break quite as often.
The key feature - a generously-sized eraser that you could twist to keep a useful length above the top of the pencil - performed only too well: without even touching the eraser, I could do nothing to stop it from extending further and further from the top of the pencil each time I clicked to advance the lead
I like the size of the eraser and that it can be changed easily.
I love this pencil and I wanted to try the size 9 lead.
Half millimeter is the best lead size for all-round writing for adults
Worth the money - solid, stores lots of lead, replaceable, large twist eraser.
Once you've been cheated it seems " throwing good money after bad" to spend the time and money to return the garbage especially when you know there will be no response from the seller or manufacturer.
Highly recommend the used like new ones if you don't have enough money to get them new!
Not worth the money :-(
and i didn't have enough money to buy new ones, and they came in like new
This product is excellent and our entire family loves the Pentel Twist Automatic Pencil.
Thank you Pentel for making a better product to simplify our lives.
Pentel cheapened this product by substituting plastic for steel in the tiny lead holder tube (the "point"), but I've found that the plastic point still has more than adequate life (a couple years) before eventual failure
While I'm in it for the 0.9 lead size, and this pencil works, the QE519 is a superior product, and this one (QE419) is just "THREE STARS OK"
This product is horrible; with in days I was unable to click the top to push the lead out
I homeschool my kids and these are the only pencils we use due to their great construction and these wonderfl twist erasers!
Very comfortable silicone grip, good everyday lead thickness and hardness, and substantial twist eraser
The lead is strong and the twist eraser is very convenient
Eraser untested as of now.
After having owned these pencils for several months, I noticed the erasers on some of them would occasionally twist out by themselves as I used them, necessitating the need to twist them back several times during a crossword puzzle..
Now I have twelve black-lead pencils that I don't need, and I'm back to searching for good quality mechanical pencils with erasable red lead.
To be honest, i wasn't expecting my pencils to come in in such good quality
It has amazing grip, amazing flow, an amazing eraser, and good build quality
so you don't have to push it out and then hold down the top to push more back in, and each pencil has a good quality eraser (not like the 'rubber' erasers you'd see on cheap pencils)
Much cheaper quality than the standard Twist-Erase pencils
I have been using Pentel Twist Erase pencils since they first came out in the early 1980s
Pentel added a silicone-like collar on them a few years ago to improve the grip and went to translucent colors, but they remain the same great, simple, workhorse mechanical pencil with the long, twist-up eraser
I'm a huge fan of the higher end Pentel "Twist Erase" pencils, so I figured one with red lead and an eraser specifically designed for that lead would be the holy grail of erasable red lead in a mechanical pencil
Thank you Pentel for making a better product to simplify our lives.
Pentel also makes options available if you prefer a 0.5mm lead (which I break very often) and 0.7mm lead (which are okay if that's your preference).
Nice to find on Amazon as not always available at stores.
