The only downside I've had with it is that good gravy the tip of it, even with the lead retracted is like a weapon
But sometimes I wish the tip wasn't so sharp so that I can put them in my pocket without poking myself.
The solid metal tip and metal lead jaws reduce lead breakage, have zero slop, it is very light, its the perfect size, and it has a seriously awesome eraser
The lead guide tip seems to be welded on and I guess the weld wasn't very strong

The top half (which holds the eraser and eraser twist-advance mechanism) slides off the bottom half (the part that holds the lead and lead-advance mechanism) VERY easily
So if you have a half-dead Sharpie lying around, you can salvage the cap

My solution: take the top half of the pencil off, take the eraser out, get a drill and a 1/16th- 1/8th drill-bit, go in through the bottom of this half (the side opposite of where you insert the eraser) and drill a hole or two, then super-glue the top half of the pencil to the bottom half
since the bottom part has rubber to aid grip, it grips to the pen slot its in, and thus you end up with the top half in your hand and the bottom half stuck in the slot
