and there is a warning that one should not cut down the sheets to fit the items, but instead buy the correct size for the items you are laminating
It is easy to use and your stuff does come out well, but it is kind of annoying to have to buy the "right size" pockets for your items instead of just being able to fit them between two laminating sheets and go.
I was able to seal several small items as well as full sized sheets of paper.
I also like its compact size, it doesn't take too much space sitting on the desk in my home office

When the ready light comes on, you simply start the feed into the machine and then the laminator pulls it though and deposits your laminated document below
Wait for the ready light before starting, however, or it will not seal well.

I like using it for my kid's awards and achievement certificates and a few other things, but these are not everyday events
thing is the smell (as mentioned in other reviews).I don't think it takes up too much room, and being a thermal laminator it makes your laminated items look more professional.
I haven't had to use the jam release button yet, so I don't know how that works, but that is probably a good thing.

After I was done I left the machine on a couple minutes and walked away into the next room and smelled a burning smell and went back into my office and shut off the machine.
When I plugged it in, it began to heat up VERY fast to the point where it started smoking and started to make a burning smell
when i opened it, it was not a new product and it had scratches all over underneath the film and the burning smell was so toxic.
The first one I bought didn't work and 3M was so helpful to quickly get a replacement to me
