Reviews around sound (5.00 of 5)

  • But if I'm really paying attention to the music, or am playing it through a good stereo or headphones, the new Classic's sound is - to my ears - more mechanical, more fatiguing to listen to than the 5G iPod.
  • The sound is better in the previous versión and really isn't 160 GB
  • For anyone who has the Go&Play, you know what an amazing sound system it is.
  • The new Classic's sound is fine for casual listening through earbuds or middle-of-the-road headphones.
  • I also noticed the sound on the 6th generation wasn't quite as refined as my 5th generation Ipod playing through the Go&Play.

Reviews around use (5.00 of 5)

  • I am on the road alot and wanted something that would hold a lot of music and some videos and found it in the 160 i have gone for a few days without even looking at the power level of the unit it is compact fits perfect in my pocket as far overall use i give it four stars at the time of this
  • It arrived very quickly, to my delight, because I was ready to put it to good use.
  • It works as described; however, the 160GB drive used is very, very slow.
  • I got out the ones I was using with the Zen Xtra and the sound improved by a huge amount

Reviews around case (5.00 of 5)

  • I did notice that they didn't include the soft slip case this time, like they did with the 5th generation iPods
  • They include a nice shiny metal case when you get the iPod
  • Be sure to buy a good case with a belt clip.

Reviews around gb (4.18 of 5)

  • I purchased a 160 GB Classic iPod to replace a 30 GB iPod.
  • The 60gb gave me a TON of problems (i.e. froze up ALL the time, etc.
  • I love my 60 GB iPod but it is nearly full and it has never had a problem
  • I'm happy that I bought it before they stopped making them in apple, and make the 120gb instead(what the hell
  • This iPod replaces a Creative Zen Xtra 60 Gb MP3 player

  • I could never dream back then as I ruined so many cassette tapes packing them around that there would be the day
  • I am an avid music lover that is always the last to go to new technology
  • The iPod itself was exactly what l wanted and works just fine.

Reviews around product (3.91 of 5)

  • Like many of the reviewers, iFind this product to be iNother piece of Steve Jobs' garbage.
  • The vast difference between the two items shows that Apple is committed to providing better products for their customers.
  • Well, Ican`t complain
  • But I am saying that I think it is by far the best product of it's kind in today's market!
  • I have never stood in a line overnight just to get the "latest Greatest" product

Reviews around quality (3.47 of 5)

  • Battery life is fantastic and the sound quality is amazing.
  • My 60 GB iPod with Video had much better sound quality than this version.
  • The sound quality on the new iPod Classic is a bit muddy.
  • Sound quality is very subjective and you may prefer the classic
  • Not even any "special offers."I noticed that the sound quality wasn't as good, but I was using the earbuds that came with the iPod

Reviews around price (3.37 of 5)

  • yes it is true, a bigger screen, especially for video could had been introduced, but I hate to be the one to burst the bubble, but that would mean "Higher Price" as well, and the unit ain't exactly on the cheap end as is
  • I was very angry to see that after a week I purchased this, the price dropped like $60, well, it happens, on the other
  • I could never dream back then as I ruined so many cassette tapes packing them around that there would be the day
  • Price was great and product shipped out very quickly and was in great condition when I recieved it.
  • After paying $425 for the 40 gig Photo, the $344 was a welcoming price for a drive that is 4x larger

Reviews around drive (1.26 of 5)

  • Then after a while your Itunes is getting pretty fat and you are stressing over hard drive
  • On this iPod, the game is constantly pausing, waiting for information from the hard drive
  • That would explain the constant pausing while info from the hard drive is downloaded
  • In this industry, there is NO reason why a 256k or hybrid or some other system should fit in this case - there are 256k flash drives available for goodness sake.
  • This worked for less then 3 months and then the hard drive gave out

  • Also the response when connected to a computer is still pathetic
  • Very sluggish response time, and unbearable wait times/delays when plugging in and ejecting from iTunes - on the order of 8-9 minutes.
  • When I first got the unit it had firmware 1.00 installed and I experienced extremely sluggish menu response.
