I have tried many different kinds of phone holders but all have the sticky pads that wear off within a couple days and no longer work

This item, while hopeful it would securely hold my cell phone while the car is operating, has failed to stand up to it's hype.

I would recommend this device and I have tried various vent mounts and didn't like how they secured and didn't really have a good place to use them.

Since my original trouble getting the device to stick to the dash, it has not come loose in about two weeks use in temperatures from just below freezing to about 50 degrees.

If the phone is turned horizontal rather than vertical, it works sufficiently (and if your vehicle does not have a console screen, then the Bestrix device would work very well!).

After looking at alternatives I tried a vent mounted holder but that was not good for me as I live in NE and winters here are cold

My concern with a vent mounted holder was the vent wouldn't be strong enough to hold the weight of the phone and keep it in one place.

She liked the one I have, which is a simple vent mount, but that type wouldn't work in her car.

We tried turning it upside down, but it doesn't work as well that way.

And the product completely fell apart into its separate connectable pieces as well

I currently own an iphone 6 but it expands to support larger size phones as well.

I looked at the dash mounted holders as well as the vent mounted holders

What I noticed the first couple of days: yes, it can rattle a little on rough roads, but not enough to stop using it, and there may be eventual issues with the adjustable ball socket loosening

If I loosened up the sides that gripped the cell, it shook less, but then the cell would fall right out of the holder, which kinda defeats the purpose

The main cons are that my phone seems to vibrate while I'm driving (though its probably partially due to the nature of driving a sports car) and my phone won't stay positioned exactly the way I put it when I first start out (it may droop a little)

Only thing I would say is that it rattles a little when driving without a phone in it, but you can just remove it if it bothers you that much
