Easy peasy setup even for someone as tech-challenged as myself.
Good price, fast, easy setup and USB only makes it perfect for this application.
I didn't have to do any software installation, it was automatic with Windows 7, but software would probably be needed to customize some jobs like duplex printing
Otherwise, if you can put up with this situation, the printer does a nice job of clear printing, and very fast output
I use it to print shipping labels primarily, it does a great job and will be more economical than a ink jet.

Toner Save Mode, and Reduce Paper Curl, are excellent features which work extremely well

Brother toner expensive bought the cheaper high output toner but do yourself a favor and check ebay also.
The Drum is supposed to wipe clean the toner but fails to do what its supposed to do when you use Card Stock
Then when the toner is "out" though not really out.. it goes into this toner ready mode that also sucks up a ton of power
Edit replacing the toner has become a nightmare that I am not out of
Thick paper tends to skew, and I have thrown in the trash many unsuccessful attempts, till finally I got one that didn't have skewing and excessive toner dust all over it
