Overall, this is an excellent printer for someone who needs the faster speed, increased memory and extra security features.
The volume of paper it holds, the quality print, the speed of the print is fantastic.

No-curl technology works very well for us, it was an irritant with previous printers.
We have another PC and a laptop that both run Windows 7; we used the install disk for the PC - worked great.
It's quiet, prints FAST, and the bypass tray works really well for cardstock, etc
The printer comes securely packed in a VERY sturdy box, the cardboard itself is high grade & quite strong.... it is clear to me that Brother is a company that really cares about their products & the customers who buy them, as they have taken great care to ensure their products are in proper working order when purchased
Replace Toner comes on too soon You cannot use any PARTIAL toners so if you remove your toner, even at one day old, the printer will stop working and will refuse to except it's current toner.

Setup was pretty easy, but it didn't find my wifi network automatically, so I went and found a USB cable (NOT included) and went through the setup that way
The only negative is the setup.

I have not used this printer with wireless setup but based on my past experience, wireless connections are not as stable and off and on you may have to re-establish WiFi connection again
I'd recommend this printer except ...... setting up a wireless connection is truly awful
The printer was connected, but we lost the connection when we rebooted the router, and we've been unable to reconnect since then
The WIFI connection could be better as it sometimes loses connection to the router
Constantly loses connection to my laptop (Macbook Pro running El Capitan 10.11.6).

Finally, while this isn't readily compatible with Google cloud printing as my Epson is, I easily registered the printer and now it works with cloud printing as well
It took only a few minutes to add it to Google Cloud Print

I am happy to say there was no "power drain" or dimming of the lights after testing this printer.
BUT, it zaps the power
