Requires a little setup, but it is inexpensive, came quickly, and I was able to reach tech support by phone relatively easily.
The tech support was knowledgeable, spoke English fluently, and was able to diagnose the glitch and get the printer installed in about half an hour
Remember you need to REGISTER with Canon for the tech support!

I love all my other Canon products, but this model didn't do it for me
I am amazed by how much this printer outperforms a similar but less capable product I bought many years ago for $450.If you are looking for a home black and white printer that can print duplex pages (print on both sides of the paper), then look no further

Terrible and damaged product
Unfortunately, I can never get through to Canon for assistance with questions regarding product usage.
Overall I am very pleased and the price of non-Canon toner cartridges (with which I have had great success with a previous Canon Laser printer) makes this such a bargain over an inkjet printer.

I only point out the negatives more than the positives as if any of those are a big deal, this is NOT the printer for you.
The printer itself is OK - easy to set up, relatively easy functionality, the ability to change settings from the printer as well as the included software
This printer's design is intricate and complex as it does many things meticulously well
You don't want to spend much less on a printer - every brand has their model that competes for the very bottom of the price category, and those cut so many corners that you end up with a printer that needs very expensive toner carts and a premature death
