Reviews around cod (4.59 of 5)

  • To me this and the first call of duty modern warfare are the best COD games
  • The makers of the series did a smart thing with COD 4 Modern Warfare, the game brought new technology, scenarios and situations to the genre, and it was excellent fun, a good rest from the back to back world
  • The last of the great COD... which in my opinion, COD 4 and WAW were the only truly great ones
  • it is a fairly decent game, but I personally liked the original cod 4 better than this one
  • The sniper rifles are some of the most realistic that COD has ever had as far as damage.

  • the games was good the story was great and people still play online and it s a great game to have you and your friends hop in a play some of my friends came over twice a much
  • yes it is CoD ,cool game play ,story ,characters ,sound
  • It is one of the best shooting game and has great story mode.
  • The game it self is great and a great story line not to long and not to short and very informative about WW ll
  • Just like all the magazine reviews; the story is great and the online is great!

Reviews around play (4.29 of 5)

  • The online play is great, depending of course on the players you end up competing against.
  • Nazi zombies swarm the house and your job is to kill as many as you can before being overwhelmed
  • I believe COD4 is still a better online game, and this new World at War game is really great for its campaign, but not necessarily the online play.
  • so I don't recommend playing mutiplayer or zombies because everyone sucks in it so :p
  • So I purchased Call of Duty World at War for the Playstation 3 as online play here is free

Reviews around shooter (4.28 of 5)

  • Not a bad shooter by any means, but quite broing for my taste, plays like every post-modern warfare Call of Duty
  • But Personally This game Stands in Second Place in first person Shooters right behind Bad Company 2 which By Far is the best shooter
  • but WAW does a pretty good job on continuing the same intense and gritty combat shooter the everyone has come to know and love
  • This game is one of the best shooters I have ever played.
  • I would recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooter

Reviews around cod4 (3.95 of 5)

  • I have COD4 (Modern Warfare), so decided to try out this one.... simply AMAZING!
  • because the die hard COD4 players that were looking forward to the continuation of Modern Warfare hit a brick wall and woke up in the most overdone era of First Person Shooter history
  • If you liked COD4, then COD5 is all the same fun with a BIG plus
  • Last year I was blown away with COD4 Modern Warfare for several reasons
  • Much like COD4, when you're in a multiplayer game, you're rewarded for

Reviews around graphic (3.93 of 5)

  • As for the game, the graphics could have been better but there was lots of shooter excitement.
  • Nazi zombies swarm the house and your job is to kill as many as you can before being overwhelmed
  • , It's COD4 with Ugly graphics, I put both copies in storage not to ever play them again
  • Overall I would rate this game an 8.5 out of ten, and that's just because the graphics are a bit crude at times.
  • Awesome graphics just an awesome game in general.would recommend this game

Reviews around weapon (3.89 of 5)

  • Warfare is the nonetheless a tid bit better because of the modern weapons, but the realistic play od COD5 has brought new hope to FPS
  • COD5 is the best online multiplayer shooter if you like WWII, for meCOD4 is the better because I like modern weapons
  • Going from modern weapons to pea shooters wasn't my idea of fun.
  • With the advent of the flamethrower - a truly terrible weapon - you will be presented with burned, mutilated bodies as a result
  • There are no overpowered weapons (most people will argue the MP40 ruined online, but a small highpowered SMG was required to counteract the increased health Juggernaut perk IMO).

Reviews around multiplayer (3.89 of 5)

  • COD5 is the best online multiplayer shooter if you like WWII, for meCOD4 is the better because I like modern weapons
  • The multiplayer for this game is not as good as for call of duty 4, primarily because of matchmaking and team balancing
  • of course the multiplayer, like call 4, is one of the greatest ever
  • Nazi zombies swarm the house and your job is to kill as many as you can before being overwhelmed
  • I mean, this mode of play overshadows the SP greatly, for the single fact that it's the same thing, just multiplayer

Reviews around mode (3.75 of 5)

  • The game will not use up the entire screen size in split-screen mode.
  • This is a must own but if this is your first cod game i'd recommend campaign mode.
  • The intense, single player campaign is here again, but this time along with it comes the very well done cooperative campaign mode.
  • My only complaint with the cooperative split-screen is the unique way that the developers incorporated the split-screen mode.
  • I'm not sure if this was done to help frame-rates, or if they wanted to maintain a certain aspect-ratio or what they were going for here, but it's a shame that they chose to waste some of the screen space with this split-screen mode

Reviews around campaign (3.50 of 5)

  • I play it mainly with buddies in online multiplayer, but the campaign is good fun as well, especially in co-op mode
  • The intense, single player campaign is here again, but this time along with it comes the very well done cooperative campaign mode.
  • If your deciding which CoD to get between black ops or this get black ops but if you're thinking to buy this game so you can have the complete saga or to have a good campaign or zombies then buy it
  • As if the campaign wasn't intense enough as it is, this cooperative mode adds just that much more fun to an already amazing game.
  • The music is good; the lack of cut scenes hurt the campaign just as with COD 4

Reviews around lack (2.54 of 5)

  • The MAIN issue for me is the lack of SPLIT-SCREEN ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!!!!we want to team up and fight others online !!!
  • you are a COD4 fan, you might like this game as it has some different things about
  • The downfall to multiplayer is the lack of customization
  • I was a little concerned that it would not be as good as
  • The multiplayer for this game is not as good as for call of duty 4, primarily because of matchmaking and team balancing

Reviews around company (2.31 of 5)

  • Sound/Music: Just as awesome as with any war shooter is the sound mix from the explosions and gunfire to barking commanders issuing orders, it certainly does feel like we're in a warzone
  • I was a little concerned that it would not be as good as
  • Campaign co-op is a nice feature I wish more FPS games had, including Bad Company
  • Buy COD 4, MW, or Battlefield Bad Company 1 or 2 instead.
  • I like the Frosbite Engine that Dice has used in the Battlefield Bad Company

Reviews around people (1.83 of 5)

  • But after playing the game, I honestly can't see what people were so worried about.
  • Quite often you can sit in a lobby waiting for people to join your game for 5-10 minutes before it fills up with enough people and this is also when there are over 80k people playing online!
  • Some people preferred the helicopter in COD4, but I sort of like the dogs idea
  • People are allowed to mod it, and it ruins the game for everyone
  • The game is really good and it looks realistic and the best part where most people can get more fun out of it is playing online of course

Reviews around problem (1.80 of 5)

  • the problem lies in the fact that you're not pursuing two terrorists who have one common endgame
  • B/W COD 4 and 5, 5 is a bit better just b/c you can distinguish b/w the enemy and your troops.
  • The improvements in the game engine, the sound effects, the smoke and explosion effects, and the engaging gameplay all help to raise the bar, but as I said above, the fact that it still suffers the abominable problems with multiplayer hosting are reason enough to bring the rating down again
  • Excellent game, no problem with supplier
  • The problem is that if you then try to find another game, it will invariably dump you right back into the one you just left

Reviews around screen (1.29 of 5)

  • You can play split screen co-op, co-op online, or regular online (aka multiplayer online).
  • I actually bought this to play split screen LAN, too bad it doesn't support it.
  • The MAIN issue for me is the lack of SPLIT-SCREEN ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!!!!we want to team up and fight others online !!!
  • My only complaint with the cooperative split-screen is the unique way that the developers incorporated the split-screen mode.
  • The game will not use up the entire screen size in split-screen mode.
