Upgraded my burner to this one after using the smaller style for many years

I love this thing for crab boils very nice sturdy burner!

LOVE this burner, its big enough to hold a big turkey fry pot with no worries of the pot of hot oil spilling.

The stand assembles in less than 5 minutes and is really sturdy with an awesome iron burner element.

This burner is sturdy and accommodates a lot of weight safely.

Assembly was easy, the tools provided would work I guess, I grabbed a 10 mm wrench and a philips head screwdriver

I had to match drill hole for legs, bolts were soft steel, i replaced

Works great with my 120 quart stainless steel pot.

I added steel gussets and cross braces.burner works fine, stand was cheaply made.

Mainly I had to cut the grate ends, adapt a wok ring between the cut ends and placed a stainless steel bowl with bottom cut out over the burner to get a closer, more focused flame.

We bought it primarily for Wok use as well as large stockpot cooking for shrimp and crab boils.

The ability to control the heat is very good, similar to a stove, and I feel safe cooking on it even with high flames

I highly recommend for any outside need for portable heating, cooking and canning.

My first brew day went extremely well except for the fact that this burner heated water so quickly I didn’t have enough time to get things ready for mashing and nearly overshot my stroke water temp.

Run it for about 30min before use to burn off the smell , it will give you a great time to play with the air/fuel mixture high and low.

Time will determine how good this product is but it worked great this weekend at a camp cooking for over 200 people.

The flame is so far below the pan that it does not provide enough heat to be of use.

Well constructed, and enough heat to Wok cook and sear steaks on a cast iron skillet.

I use this to do some serious Chinese cooking and this sucker really blasts the heat in the wok for that purpose.

I ran it for about 15 minutes to burn off paint, then put a stock pot with 4 gallons of water on it at wide

Some paint flaked off after prolonged use, but whatever it just has character now.

It's critical to first run without cooking for about 15-20 minutes in order to burn off the paint that will not handle the heat

Like just about any other similar burner, the paint around the flame area will burn off on the first use.

As many people mention, the first use should be without food, but with a pan to disperse the heat to the surrounding unit, because you are going to burn off the paint and it will off gas odor and a bit of soot.

50 degrees outside and this monster heated 15 gallons of 60 degree water to boil in about 35 minutes, give or take a beer

I typically boil 7 gallons of wort reducing it to 5.5 gallons.

It boils three - four gallons of water quickly
