I recently bought my Kindle Oasis E-reader and so far love it

Nice size easy to hold, light weight, bright and easy to read.

First off I love the sleek design and light weight of the Oasis.

I love the light weight to it and the screen is beautiful.

I broke down and bought one because I am about to take a long trip and wanted to take several books to read but dreaded the extra weight

The larger size and the uneven weight distribution made the Oasis a less comfortable and more distracting reading experience.

that said, i've had mine since august, and while i enjoy the weight of it, the size is awkward, the buttons AND the screen page turning are already starting to short out, AND the battery life is crap

I received an Oasis with a great screen, and I love the size

I really like all the new features on the Oasis, especially button page turning, but hate the awkward size and the hard feel

Bigger screen is better but bigger overall size is worse.

I thought the odd size was for a larger battery, but it doesn't do the trick

The light is amazing, evenly well throughout the screen

The oasis has an adaptive front light that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen

the screen is clear and crisp, the even lighting is really nice to look at, it's light and comfortable to hold, the extra inch of screen is appreciated, but that dang battery life

The second replacement had a dead pixel towards the middle of the screen and really bad image/text ghosting plus the lighting was uneven at the bottom right corner

I Love it now, the screen is clear the words pop out, and I like the audible feature, over all I really glad I bought the kindle oasis 9th gen 32 gig with cellular data

my one negative comment is you need headphones with Bluetooth availability which was not clear upon purchase

Amazon invented the e-reader and if you want the best e-reader, the Oasis is the only choice.

The only negative comment I have is that the battery life suffers as compared to the Paperwhite and Voyage using the same conditions of usage, lighting levels, wifi on or off, etc.

If you can get over that it is an excellent e-reader, far superior to my paperwhite or original kindle.

I love the larger screen and the backlighting is perfect.

Battery life is great, other options (like being able to disable the touch screen) are nice additions too.

Also, it is very annoying that there is no quick way to disable the touch screen and use just the buttons!

Really like the larger screen compared to my old Kindle Paperwhite.

(If you like to swipe the screen to turn pages, the Oasis does this faster and more responsively than the Voyager

If not, Then the Voyage is the very best Kindle to have.

The fact that they say that the device holds weeks of battery life is shear false advertising

although its not a bad product it really doesnt deserve such a high price tag.....

My original, first generation Kindle was a MUCH better product.

My Kindle stopped working after less than 60 days, worst Kindle product ever.

This product makes me concerned that the hardware team within Amazon is losing their touch

Turning the page is instant and almost too easy, and I love the auto dim and brightness feature

Probably the most disappointing thing about Oasis is that the ads misrepresent battery life

I splurged on the ad-free version as I have become totally sick of being shown stupid romance novels on the cover of a device that doesn't have a single romance novel in it

Then when you jump through hoops to find out how to turn off this disfeature, they make you pay for it to go away even though you had know way of knowing the ads were lurking

On Oasis 2017, I can use a lower backlight level and be able to read comfortably in a dark room

and I feel like the noise might bother other people in a quiet room

Display is easy on the eyes whether in a dark room or a well lit room.

I like to use a big font and appreciate more room for the display.

Paperwhite screen is not hard to read at night in a dark room
