I was looking for a case that offered great protection without being too bulky

Not too bulky, yet still enough protection.

Probably doesn’t afford as much protection, but it also doesn’t make my phone bulky.

First I had purchased the case from a 3rd party retailer and received a counterfeit Otterbox case (sloppy fit and poor button performance)

Perfect fit and has a great rubber like feel, it is soft enough to help your grip

The only downside is if you put your phone in your pocket with the case on, it will start to turn the pink rubber piece a dark color.

I loved the color but this case will absorb the color of your jeans if you put it in your pocket often and turn into an ugly color

I also feel like over time the extended rubber will lose grip and will eventually protrude from extended use

The grip is just sticky enough around the edge that when I grasp the phone it feels secure.

The case adds only a minimal amount of extra size and weight to the phone, it has a good hand-feel, provides a good grip, and still allows the phone to easily slide in/out of your pocket.

The feel of the case is sleek, and the rubber on the sides make the perfect grip for holding my phone

The hard part is great but the silicone is nasty looking

The otterbox itself was scratched, but it accomplished its sole purpose

This was not the first case I bought for my fancy new iPhone 7.

This fits my iPhone 7 so well and the edges of the rubber are sealed in the hard case tightly

Kudos to OtterBox for making a very reliable and durable product for a very fragile iPhone.

I can say this is the best cover I have ever had in any phone

With arthritis in my hand it is the best cover to hold my phone!

The hard cover makes it slippery if you don't put it in a holder in the car.

Scratches very easily (unlike other Otterbox products I had), lasted less than 8 months before the rigid part cracked (unlike other Otterboxes I previously had too)

Good lasted about 10 months

Once every few months I remove it from my phone just to clean it a little

The phone was in my lap and fell down as I got out of the car, which was about a 3-4 foot drop

The sides have enough lip that if the phone falls on its face, the screen won't touch the ground

I took a nasty fall and dropped my phone - the corner of the case will scratched up pretty badly but the phone was fine

It has already saved the phone from a couple of counter top height falls

My phone took a bad fall onto the pavement and not a scratch.

This is not as rugged a case as the Defender but at the same time not nearly as bulky

I like the commuter series just as tough as a defender but half bulk.

I always go for the commuter series, I bought a few of them for my iPhone 5 and they saved it from countless drops, and they’re not as bulky as the defender.

I'll just keep using my trusty defender

Not as bulky as Defender, though no belt clip.

The case is mostly hard slippery plastic that easily slips out of your hard

The only other thing is that while the rubber provides ample grip while not gripping to the inside of your pocket, the plastic is pretty slick, so it slides around a lot if it's not sitting on the rubber rim on the front of the case.

Only minor knock is that the hard plastic is very slick.

The inner part is a very good fit and the outer shell is strong enough to hold up for my use

I did notice a slit in the hard shell just above the home button on my iPhone.

The rubber is durable, but hard plastic shell is slippery and apparently very brittle.

The only scratch it had is the top outer shell of the case

Outer shell is flawless, but inner shell has significantly changed colors in the last 5 months
