The loading hole on the bottom of the post where it attaches to the base is slightly larger than the top hole where the speaker plate attaches, so I suggest you fill from the bottom

I like the tubes, and that they don't look like a solid rectangle (like the LS 400)

The bottom and top plate do not align, meaning the top plate is twisted compared to the base, this is no big deal as you won't see this once you have a pair of speakers placed on top

However it is sad to see the manufacturer not pay attention to such details however bening and stupid they may seem.- There is no way of actually attaching the speakers to the top plate, you have to rely entirely on gravity to do its thing
