The fine point on this pen is perfect for everyday writing
Writing is crisp and fairly effortless for a fine point pen.
Seems nicely built and looks good, but the ink flow is awful (I have tried two different inks so far) and the point is terribly scratchy
I've only cleaned the nib once due a mixture of my lack of experience and having somebody else try it who handled it like a cheap ball-point and it still works pretty well
I would compare it to a fine point sharpie pen in that regard
I like the way the pen writes but gave it the score because it leaks.
but sometimes i find that the converter that the pen comes with does not fill all the way and also sometimes the pen will leak excess ink through the nib
This is my first fountain pen, and I really love the way it writes
You get ink on your fingers from time to time, but I love the way it writes.
I have been using it extensively, and i love the way it feels and writes.
Pen has a nice, solid feel in the hand due to the brass construction, looks respectable, and has a smooth Pilot nib that puts down a fine, moderately wet line and has a bit of give to it (not enough to call it flex, but it gives a softer feel when writing than some of the hard German nibs so common in most other moderately priced fountain pens) and handles just about any ink you throw at it like a champ
Cheap starter pen, if does bleed a little bit sometimes but not enoigj to ever stop using it.
Writes smooth, puts down ink well, but it does leak a bit
Can bleed a little bit but nothing to be concerned about.
In an age of automatic digital connected wearable voice activated everything, there's something almost primally satisfying about writing on real paper with a pen that requires a little bit of effort and skill but rewards you with a much better experience if you're willing to try
But again, was hoping this wasn't a fountain pen issue, rather a cheap fountain pen issue
However my issues and more so your issues with this pen will be invisible
The only issue I've had is the nib leaking and an unfortunate mishap with the converter.
I've used it for a couple of months now and have had no issues with the nib becoming clogged or needing a cleaning (yet).FYI in the picture 1 = 60lb card stock, 2= recycled post-it note, 3= index card, 4= lightweight cream copy paper
It sometimes even leaks a little from the force exerted by opening the cap
This pen leaked a little in the beginning, then started to leak a lot
The pen does leak a little but perhaps it's because I don't write often
