If you primarily game on an Xbox there are better options for you
I don't like the Arctis as much for music and movies as the BW/BO options.
There are much better options then these out of the box.-Update: 4/1/2018 The sound improvement for this version and not the Wireless edition like other reviews are talking about has improved but still overall semi low compared to other options for same price PC wise
I have talked with support and asked various things but support does not go past the basic scripted responses when you ask about things Also since no plans are to improve volume with better options besides 2 settings and turning the equalizer to max on every line if you have any issues of hearing stay far away from this headset and company and just find yourself a sound card that will give you the options you might need or want
For music and movies, I think there are better options out there, including the Bowers and Wilkins PX, and the Bang & Olufsen H4.They are by far the most comfortable headphones I have, beating out the Bowers and Wilkins, Bang & Olufsen, and my Logitech Artemis, by far.
Pros:-Light, you can easily forget you're wearing them-Ski Goggle band is extremely comfortable-Headset is well built, don't think you'd manage to break them without heavy abuse-Wireless
If you get a chance to try these in person before buying them I would, because everyone's ears like different soundscapes, and if you manage to enjoy the soundscape of these and can get over the mic quality they are a very well build headset.
Secondly is the knob on my transmitter although seemingly well built would bounce my settings around even when turning slowly
The headset is well built, for the most part, I'm worried that the cups will fall off at the hinge their connected at
The headset is very well built, maybe a little on the heavy side in comparison to others but still very comfortable
Comfort is great and the mic picks up very well (make sure you position it properly).
The comfort is good, but you never forget you have them on your head and your ears won't sweat
The quality of the manufacture is very excellent - the sound is good - the comfort on the head is good but after three hours feel the pressure on the ears - my assessment 4.5 / 5
Audio is a downgrade from the wide soundstage of the Astro A40'sIf I could, I would love to rate this product 2.5 stars
Yes a wired connection is going to have better quality audio as of now until technology advances but for WIRELESS headphones you can't get any better
I found the audio to be worse than my 5 year old skull candy headsets
I think so given the wireless/Bluetooth capabilities, their overall comfort and the optical out for playing audio on my actual speakers when not wearing the headphones
I'm confused as to why something at this price range has such an unadjustable headband and such a small one
The plastic on top of the sound box was all scratched up.
I'm confused as to why something at this price range has such an unadjustable headband and such a small one
I never had an issue again with the device not being enabled after powering on the system and my mic volume has continued to work as
n’t supporting it quite yet in the software
Overall - I was hesitant to buy another steel series due to the cheap plastic swivels they use for each ear cup - but then again - it did last me for FIVE years which isnt too shabby for a wireless headet
My device broke, and when I submitted an RMA request they conditionally approved it stating I would need to destroy the device.
At the end of the day, the only real reason to get a DAC is if your device (PC or PS4) is unable to reproduce the sound at the bit rate at which it is encoded.
I destroyed the device, sent photo proof, and then they canceled my RMA request.

ALSO I had to RMA the headset ONCE back in 2013 due to cracking the swivel within the first 2 weeks of usage

(It lasted me a solid 5 years total) until I cracked the stupid plastic swivel that held the left cup to the rest of the headset
