This TV would be a great value if not for this major flaw
It's the BEST way to spend your money, and while you may not get the best picture (but really only for high speed motion), or the best TV out of the box, it is the BEST value for your money out there
Again, the 6 Series is a noticeable improvement and if it's in the budget it's arguably the best value going in TVs
This TV is arguably the best value 4K TV you can buy right now.
Excellent purchase, great price and value for the quality of the TV.
Affordable price ($450), great size for spacious family room
If you're trying to spend under 500$ and want a good size TV and
Went with the 50” to have a smaller footprint for moving about the house, as well as a smaller size for using as a second monitor for controlling my DAW remotely
Excellent TV, good size and optimal resolution, recommended
This is the 4th TCL I have purchased and by far the best
The refresh rate is garbage, and TCL and amazon work together to misinform the consumer
TCL has been implicated as a Chinese military & CCP spying tool
Now I find that there is a security issue as outlined in the following article entitled “TCL smart TVs may have 'Chinese backdoor' — protect yourself now”.
So far we like this TCL better already and with the 4 year extended warranty, we'll have this one for at least 5 years
Unfortunately the new 5 series suffers from the same "dirty screen effect" or as some refer to it, "vertical banding", as the last 2 generations of 6 series
Bought this tv two weeks ago and couldn’t see a third of the screen because it looked like it was cracked along the top even though the screen was fine.
I finally turned on the TV Thursday evening and the attached picture shows what the screen looks like
The screen could not handle any glare whatsoever from outside light from windows, so I closed up the man cave completely
Good value, but the “dirty screen” effect that plagues TCL LED TVs lives on with this generation
I love action smoothing and works good in games to, makes you feel like playing at 60 fps, the input lag is noticeable but if you turn on game mode everything is better, recommend.
I found out in order to reach is the low input lag, Interpolation needs to be off, and game mode needs to be on.
Sometimes, when I use my PS4, the picture mode will not change to "Game Mode" giving me an unplayable amount of input lag
It really makes a difference in the amount of input lag from the controller
There's a game mode for gamers out there who want less input lag
