The headphone jack is not very secure...using the ipod's headphones and another set of headphones from a different mp3 player the cord came out easily, when the cord was jostled sound would cut in and out making listening to the music annoying

As I have mentioned earlier, this new device was an attempt to attract more active people; but sad the truth is, all they did was make the targeted audience smaller with less features and being pointlessly small

If you clip it to your shirt then the sweat from your exercise will mess up the ipod.

You could only get it to turn on plugged in as soon as you unplugged it the iPod died instantly.

Just a word of caution if you are thinking about getting this for a kid, a very active person, or someone who is fumble fingered.

No more having to carry your Ipod in your pocket (and risk it falling out if your jogging or something), no need to buy some overpriced arm pand

The built in clip works well clipped to a shirt collar or sleeve, and means I don't need to wear an annoying arm band (hate those), or run the cord to my pocket (where it would get easily tangled in passing branches on hikes)
