Reviews around value (5.00 of 5)

  • Good value but buttons seem to stick after a year of heavy use.
  • If you need an MP3 player--this one is a fantastic value.
  • Overall, the clip is a great value for its sound quality
  • However, I can't see how a product that just barely makes it past one year is a good value to repurchase or deserving of a positive review
  • And this one is for my Mother.i love this mp3 because it is easy to use With à lot of options, equalizer, delete tracks directly, see recent ad,note a track.it s à vers good value

Reviews around feature (4.86 of 5)

  • This is a VERY COOL feature, and should be mandatory for ALL audio players.
  • My favorite feature is that it just plays the music you install
  • I didn't need something with navigation, a built in coffee maker or any other range of crazy features, just a solid and dependable MP3 player that I could have in my car, or in the house, or out and about, hiking, camping, wherever
  • One nice feature in using this for audio books is that I can adjust the speed
  • In fairness there have been some improvements particularly that the player remembers where you were in the audiobook which is a great feature.

Reviews around size (4.79 of 5)

  • I like the small size and after some confusion learned to down load music
  • They are simple to use, and I like the small size and the ability to clip them on
  • Pretty good sound and such a small size, and I love the micro SDHC card
  • Too bad because I like the size and the clip for running.
  • Very small and very convenient to use, except the display is very small (because of the overall size of course) and hard to see in the sun.

Reviews around sound (4.56 of 5)

  • Advice: purchase a good set of headphones for great, clean sound
  • Nothing fancy, but small, easy to carry around and good sound
  • its also cheap and has a good sound quality but last week i got crappy sounds and later there were no sounds at all, also there is no cover for micro sd card, sometimes micro sd card disconnects with a single little touch, its a big problem when clip + put in pocket
  • I've used it while walking for exercise and the sound is loud enough
  • works beautifully, good sound, easy to use, light as can be, clips anywhere.

Reviews around quality (4.17 of 5)

  • It has decent sound quality, about what one would expect.
  • It is lightweight, has decent sound quality, and good battery capacity
  • I bought other cheaper mp3 players from Amazon and they were horrible quality and both broke within a month.
  • Regardless, it works pretty well, and seems to have good build quality until it dies on you.
  • I guess it would depend on how loud you have your ear buds, the quality of the buds-noise cancelling etc

Reviews around mp3 player (4.17 of 5)

  • This MP3 player is very compact, sounds great and has a reasonably usable screen at night as well...
  • I had this MP3 player for about 4 months, and it dies on me
  • As the title says, I love this tiny mp3 player but absolutely hate the interface
  • This MP3 player did not work when I first got it--could not charge it
  • The best MP3 player I've owned so far, and the least expensive too.

Reviews around mp3 (4.11 of 5)

  • nice cheap mp3 player... mine was about $30 when i bought
  • I got this to replace an mp3 player that died, and was very pleased with it at first
  • Great little MP3 player with an amazing sound recorder.
  • A good cheap little MP3 player with a good sd card epansion slot capacity
  • It is a pricey little mp3 player, but it's worth the price.

Reviews around clip (3.92 of 5)

  • While it's not a chintzy clip, it's not titanium, either.
  • This SanDisk Sansa Clip worked for just one year until it froze and never turned on again
  • I used to have a Sansa clip, and love this model, so I decided to get another one
  • I love the sansa clip and own about 3 and have purchased for family members.
  • The clip on the back is practically useless as I have yet to find anything it will reliably grip,

Reviews around product (3.85 of 5)

  • The Sansa Clip is a great player but the one I received was a total defective product.
  • However, I'm not just saying that this product is all bad now
  • This is a good but not great product; however, you cannot argue with the price
  • It's a defective product - and this was replaced after one month at the original purchase!
  • So I would not recommend this product to anyone anymore.

Reviews around music (3.71 of 5)

  • This still remains the best music player for the price, imo.
  • Good quality if you want a durable and 4x4 music player
  • I had to keep resetting it which means I lost ALL my music.
  • I've had this MP3 for over a year and it's perfect for someone who wants a cheap music player for activities
  • It also erased the music I had on a micro-disk that was in it.

Reviews around price (3.60 of 5)

  • This is a terrible product and twice the price of the ipod shuffle
  • Cheap price and the battery lasts an incredibly long time
  • But "discontinuing" this product and creating a ridiculous price spike warrants 1 star.
  • Very simple, great price, nothing fancy but its exactly what I wanted.
  • I bought this product because of the positive reviews and the relatively cheap price

Reviews around device (3.56 of 5)

  • So, I am thinking that what I bought for new was actually a faulty device to begin with.
  • Solid little device if you're looking for a no-nonsense, cheap MP3 player that's just as functional as an old iPod Shuffle.
  • But, to be fair, my kids destroy just about every electronic device they touch.
  • If you're looking for something small to take out jogging, this is a great little device
  • This is a nifty device if you're looking for a low-cost Mp3 player

Reviews around thing (3.33 of 5)

  • Only bad thing, battery seems to drop sharply from 50% to dead pretty quickly.
  • I bought the first one back in 2010 and I've dropped that poor thing so many times
  • I loved this thing I want another one but not for the 70$ sry
  • I've had this thing for a couple of years now, and I still love it and use it during my workouts
  • Even then the thing still worked, but the volume would not turn up, so I invested in a new one

Reviews around message (2.94 of 5)

  • and I seriously question why they've made the changes they have since these older models have far more options for how you want to play your music, allowing you to play your music by genre as well as by author, album, etc
  • Horribly buggy; constant error messages when transferring music
  • At some point or another my computer sends an error message "device not recognized".
  • I replaced a 10-year-old Cowen iAUDIO U2 with this, partially because people wrote that the sound quality Some people compared the audio quality as "as good" or "nearly as good" as Cowen devices or inexpensive "audiophile" units.
  • I only had it for a couple months and the I got FAT corrupt message

Reviews around charge (2.78 of 5)

  • Love the unit, odd thing with battery though, at half charge it dies.
  • It crapped out on me and wouldn't let me add new songs, then the batter finally lost a charge after a couple of months' use.
  • The replacement presented with the same issues out of the box: inaccurate charge display, and very annoying sound delivery
  • While I like the size, color options and ease-of-use of this device, it just doesn't hold a charge and I find myself constantly having to re-charge this
  • trouble with it turning itself off even when fully charged. trouble with it when trying to use a mini card for more song storage.... finally doesnt turn on at all

Reviews around fault (2.54 of 5)

  • his died due to an accident that was not the manufacturer's fault)
  • In fact, the one I'm currently using has a cracked screen (my fault), and I lost it last winter in the snow.
  • and I seriously question why they've made the changes they have since these older models have far more options for how you want to play your music, allowing you to play your music by genre as well as by author, album, etc
  • I owned the exact same model in black previously and I got a couple good years out of that one despite being pretty hard on it, and it was my own fault when it did break,
  • I replaced a 10-year-old Cowen iAUDIO U2 with this, partially because people wrote that the sound quality Some people compared the audio quality as "as good" or "nearly as good" as Cowen devices or inexpensive "audiophile" units.

Reviews around software (2.48 of 5)

  • The newer software is not organized as well as the older one for ease of use.
  • I replaced a 10-year-old Cowen iAUDIO U2 with this, partially because people wrote that the sound quality Some people compared the audio quality as "as good" or "nearly as good" as Cowen devices or inexpensive "audiophile" units.
  • The player probably works great, but the software they give you to load it is impossible to use.
  • The only downfall with this player is the software, it's very buggy and problematic
  • The second time was a weird software thing, it froze and I couldn't fix it no matter how many times I reset it

Reviews around jack (1.95 of 5)

  • I replaced a 10-year-old Cowen iAUDIO U2 with this, partially because people wrote that the sound quality Some people compared the audio quality as "as good" or "nearly as good" as Cowen devices or inexpensive "audiophile" units.
  • However, the defective headphone jack for this model makes all of it's features irrelevant
  • Amazon quickly replaced it with another Clip+8, which also had a defective earphone jack.
  • Bad headphone jack and it turns itself off and has to be reset
  • I returned the first one because of a VERY loose ear bud jack.

Reviews around itunes (1.61 of 5)

  • small, durable i like it
  • but I really hated iTunes... this makes it easy to drop in the songs that I want... and lightweight so that I can bring it to the gym for my workouts... very happy with this....
  • It's a disposable world unfortunately with all the intense leaps -n- bounds within the tech world
  • I have an older one that's still working flawlessly, and unlike an ipod device I made the mistake of buy once, no proprietary software, or itunes, or other headaches like that
  • Doesn't seem to work using "iTunes".

Reviews around experience (1.54 of 5)

  • Having used this for over a year now I feel that I have had enough experience with the Clip+ to fully learn it
  • My experience: I felt really regretful of buying this item after I realised there were cheaper alternatives on ebay, $5
  • I am extremely disappointed as I did not use it more than couple of times in exactly 3 days; I am really sorry for the money I paid, such a bad experience
  • Overall, our experience with Sansa has been quite frustrating
  • A major hassle that ruins the experience as you do not want to be listening to music that stops every few seconds while you are simply walking or exercising

Reviews around shuffle (1.00 of 5)

  • My old one took a long longer to power on and off, and it had a horrible shuffle function-- it would both play the same handful of songs over and over again while skipping many other tracks, and it had no memory of previous tracks (i.e. skip forward one track, then try to skip back, and you won't be on the previous track but another random one).
  • Works well as a cheap shuffle drive for my car, but the battery life seems a tad short.
  • I bought this guy mostly for the radio and because my iPod shuffle's battery died

Reviews around people (1.00 of 5)

  • Now I know my hearing is not perfect, but I don't have a problem hearing people and things around me
  • I will definitely be avoiding Sansa products in the future, and I would advise that other people be wary when it comes to using their products.
  • I wish all the people who love this product would take the time to complain to the manufacturer about their sad decision
