while I wish it had more rpg options (Fall Out fan), it's fun and worth picking up if you like first-person shooters with some minor role playing stuff included.

I absolutely adore shooters like the Halo franchise and the Gears of War franchise, and I was very unsure about becoming involved in a game that appeared to be very wide open and lengthy.
Overall, if you like first person shooters and RPGs, I would recommend this because the GOTY gives you a good value for your money.9/10
I was skeptical about playing Borderlands because I have always been into good rpg's like Oblivion and into good shooters like Halo or Call of Duty
Great game and price, only downside was I did not understand that my Xbox only has flash memory and the game requires you to have purchased the HDD for Xbox S in order to use the DLC bundled with the game.
Ended up "upgrading" to the GOTY edition to get it at a great price during a sale and all the DLC included
If you haven't played it, I strongly urge you to get the GOTY Edition so you can experience all this game has to offer at a great price.

This game is also a great co-op game if your looking to play with friends
While the game does have a few drawbacks, I'm still giving it 5 stars based solely on the fact that Borderlands is a hell of a lot of fun to play, and (in my opinion) the best co-op game out there.
This game supports 4 person Co-op, so play with a buddy or if you are a loner, like me, it'll play just fine solo

While Mad Moxxi's Underdome is arena combat and may not be appealing to everyone, the other three additions are significant additions, each adding another 5-10 hours of fun and exploration to the game
